No *Net Blocking that I can see been changing a Biz Award tkt and constantly see options on LO,OS,LH,LX,AE,AC etc etc

hope it stays that way, OK a ^ to COdbaUA for not playing the game UA did with us and implement the Blocking

Like I said months ago everyone will end up upset about what they end up doing. CO wasnt simply gonna take what was good for the customer and not them from both CO & UA and make a new program

It would have been nice had Jeff came onto UA.com and said Well unfortunately things didnt go as we were hoping them to go, and in some cases we got stuck in the mud in a very bad way. As we are made known about our short comings we will try ASAP to clear them up. istead of everything went as planned and is ahead of pace

It was a change on the return flight with a new stopover in London and then a new leg to OMA...a complex change, and actually the IST to LHR was not that important: it was just that the agent couldn't see the LH availability and she could not figure out why...she was a very good agent in HNL, very helpful.
I will send a letter to 1K Voice or whoever. I thanked her profusely when done.

OZ seems to use NCP for Clark Air Base. Try that next time.

Lufthansa Phantom Award Availability on United.com

I'm trying to complete a round-trip itinerary to Bangkok for the end of the week. On the return I show availability in first class from FRA-EWR. As this is the new first class product I really want to fly it even if I have to layover in Newark five hours.

I cannot book online. When I call the agent is able to book into Business class but not first. I have this itinerary held. They acknowledge the problem against their own web site but essentially lay the blame on Lufthansa.

My question is, how should I handle this?

I believe this is the phantom first issue I read about in the blogs and any first availability will not be bookable until two weeks out while I'm in Asia. What chance am I taking booking FRA-EWR into LH business class now and attempting to change it later. Is it reasonable to have them waive the booking fee and at least one of the $75 less than 21 day fees? How do I make sure that's happened? Can they note my PNR for the next agent to waive it?

Thanks.

I have had this problem in the last week as well. They say it is a website vs. res system cache inventory issue. But after a few days of seeing the same flight available, I felt it could not be wrong, and I called back again and they were finally able to see the same availability.

Many other posts about this

The UA website issue with LH is well documented. Possibly due to mistaking LH availability in a bucket ONLY for LH top elites.

Solution: use the ANA website to search for Star Alliance availability.

Thanks for the replies.

As the United agents can also see the first class availability on their own web site, is there anything they can be talked into?

Nope.

The thing with LH F availability is to call the second you see it. And it may still be "ghost" availability.

It's a major issue that's got a few mega-thread on it in here.

If it shows up on the ANA site, you can book it. Otherwise, assume its ghost availability

I was hoping maybe - since every agent sees the incongruity between their system and their web site - I could book into business and then have them note the ticket to waive the second $75. fee to change it later.

I think there is some sort of blocking still in effect. I am trying to book a business class flight for SFO - LHR - ARN. The best option is a United flight to LHR and then a SAS flight to ARN. Those are the two options that are showing up for ANA and AC, both at the Saver reward level.

For United, they want you to do a connection via Frankfurt, so it would be SFO - LHR - FRA - ARN, and in that case, all European flights would be on LH. I've called in a few times now and the agents can't see any availability on the SK flight.

Not sure what's going on!

Is blocking back?

Is award blocking back? Ef is showing availability in C on Swiss, United isn't seeing anything... Did Swiss just release their stuff to M&M and not partners?

Your latter question is the correct one. LX does release additional space to its own members.

No blocking right now on UA, though LO space and MS + ET "I" space does not show up on united.com.
