Couldn't it be as simple as "LH isn't giving UA the inventory"?

LH doesn't "give UA the inventory", they make it available for booking for its various *A partners through their own respective FFPs.

If the flights show available on EF/KVS/NH or the like, I'm guessing system glitch.

PMUA systems had issues (not connected to *Net blocking) showing all flights for both award and revenue bookings. For example, when traveling to BCN last summer, all the Web site showed was a ~4 hour connection in FRA; the agent when I called saw a 2 hour connection and booked that for us. The earlier flight simply didn't show up online despite obviously being available.

I thought the CO award engine was supposed to be better, though I can say that even using it pre-merger that there were flights it didn't show (which I saw on PMUA.bomb, for example), as well as flights it did but which PMUA.bomb didn't, etc.

That is what I meant.

My favorite is when "Where is this aircraft coming from?" gives a flight with different metal (e.g. an A320 magically turns into a 757-200)

We have an entire thread on the subject, complete with specific examples, but UA Insider remains silent on the subject both via multiple PMs and on the thread. They did however respond about intra-Egypt partner flight availability or lack thereof  which is of course a pressing issue.

I realise that the LH issue isn't a revenue or service impacting priority for UA at the moment, but at least someone could open a ticket with our examples. (I did have a former 1K agent note it and tell me that something was definitely wrong but then she came back and said that her support desk wouldn't open a ticket on it) I hope that means that UA is aware, and is doing something about it.

If the inventory isn't available, then I don't want to see it. If it is, then I want to be able to book it.

Exactly right! ^

Goalie,
There's a note on the MP website saying something is wrong with LH upgrade award availability and they are working to correct it. It was in conjunction with upgrades (to biz from Y & B fares and to first from C & J), but since they pull from the same bucket, it may also be messing up biz or first award availability, too. Just for LH.

Here's the actual text of the note: *Please note: Star Alliance Upgrade Awards are currently unavailable on Lufthansa flights due to system issues on the partner side. This Upgrade Award option will be available again in the near future.

Just called MilagePlus. No wait time at all and the agent said she would reissue and they would post in 48-72 hours. Very quick and painless.

Of the 5 flights that posted as ZH instead of A, 2 were corrected, 1 was deleted entirely, and 2 remain ZH. I will wait another day and then call. So much for quick and painless.

I know about it "being broken" for upgrade awards for LH (among other things that are "broken" :rolleyes;) but I'm looking for/at award tix on both LH and LX where I know the flights exist but they don't show either as award or revenue and as such if the flights do exist, I can understand not being able to find award availability but the flights should show if I wanted to buy a ticket-and with that, I'll add that this part is also "broken"

"Where is this aircraft coming from" used to be one of my favorite tools of the mobile site and now it is completely broken. This morning's EWR-BDL flt came from PHL (I was on both), although the site lists the EWR-BDL aircraft coming from ROC on Sunday at 5pm....way off.

For Chase MP Visa holders (legacy Platinum UA Visa, not the new Explorer card) another new consolidation error observed today. UA airlines purchases are supposed to credit up to 5K PQM per year. The error occurs when a UA purchase comes through and the miles are simultaneously credited to "Non Airline Activity", and subtracted from "Beginning Balance as of ...". This nets to zero (0) PQM benefit. This can be seen in checking the "Ending Balance" of the previous statement, with the "Beginning Balance as of.." from the previous statement, which shows the reduced amount. This error is only for the PQMs, and Award Miles do credit properly. Until repaired this significanlty lessens the benefit of the legacy Platinum UA Visa.

Believe it or not, if you give the stupid systems a little time, it will probably correct. I have seen this glitch on many postings since 3-3. The data seems to get pulled from different places for awhile. It is weird, frustrating, and wrong, but it does seem to usually correct itself eventually.

Sorry as a 1K and GS it's horrible. But if you do stick with UA just be prepared to expect this performance from the crew and ground staff. Also this Summer will be hell as the Pilots do not have a contract and WILL be slowing way down!

A question about .sux and viewing one's mileage summary.....

On .bomb (RIP), one could specify dates to view activity for that specific period and I'm wondering if there is a way to do it post 3/3
