The Fleet Status site is:
https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/
At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.
To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:
mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=1205&fli ghtDate=9%2F22%2F2013&origin=EWR&destination=SFO
Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination if necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.
Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement (e.g. putting a new/converted p.s. plane entering into service).

I've heard the flight number range has something to do with scheduling the pilots but don't understand the whole issue, except using the subCO flight number ranges for these subUA flights might continue for a while...

When will the 737-900 sUA pilots start flying the aircraft? So sUA FA's but sCO Pilots? Looks like a logistics nightmare.

Probably they need to have a certain number of sUA pilots requalified in the 737, and it hasn't happened yet.

Just as an FYI, sUA 737-900 #3804 is showing in-seat power outlets in all rows on united.com
Actually, as I'm looking, I'm noticing that other new 737-900s have in-flight power outlets in all rows displayed on United.com... I checked a few random ones, like aircraft #3475, 3465, 3460... I haven't seen any that don't report power on United.com. Perhaps that should be updated on the fleet site.

I am on UA 1094 (SFO-IAH) and this 737-900 has new interiors including new lighting, power sockets and direct TV but rather disappointing economy plus!! Really! For a movement I thought I was in the wrong row but it is row 9 and there is barely any difference from standard economy. Is this for real or am I just imagining stuff?

Yep, ship 3451 and E+ has not been installed on this aircraft yet. You can tell by looking at the seat map.

Back from some vacation in CHS:
Saw some 787's on the ramp, one with UA blue tail, but no globe.
Flew on N468UA to day - first 320 with slimline seats. Disappointed that the aircraft had WiFi signal (I din't pay, but it connected), but no WiFi symbol on aircraft and FA did not announce WiFi. No materials in seatback pocket either.
Seats are just fine, look pretty thin backing, but they were comfortable on a transcon.
