The Fleet Status site is:
https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/
At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.
To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:
mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=1205&fli ghtDate=9%2F22%2F2013&origin=EWR&destination=SFO
Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination if necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.
Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement (e.g. putting a new/converted p.s. plane entering into service).

Are you up to date on the Q400s? I assume you are, and therefore when I see that I am flying a Q400 that shows up on your list as not having first, I should believe that rather than seat map that shows a first class section.

Regarding the Q400s. The fleet is not being tracked that closely - waiting for input from travelers and other interested parties to report. If the flight in question is within a couple days and the seat map is showing F and an aircraft number, I'd believe that info, but aircraft can be swapped. If the flight is more than 4 days or so out, it means the prevailing seat map for the equipment stated is probably posted, again, subject to change.

Not following the Express fleet unless someone provides an update via A.Net or FT. If the flight is within 3 days and there's an aircraft number an a F seat map, it should have F. If farther out than that, probably has most prevalent seat map and can change prior to departure.
Reliable source confirms A320 N428UA has new bins.
735 Fleet Exit: N14628 definitely left the fleet, ferried to KEF. 735 has seven remaining in the fleet.

DirecTV
What's the plan re: future DirecTV installs? I personally love it. Are all new 737 deliveries receiving it? Are all existing 737 aircraft (save the 735s) getting retrofitted?
And with regards to the sUA 757s, any idea as to whether they're fitting drop down LCDs or at least calibrating the overhead CRTs?
Thanks!

Can't say I share your enthusiasm. Don't watch it in coach, and usually not when in FC either.
Just flew 739 that had the new plane smell a week ago. It was as it came from Boeing, with 120V plugs that appeared not to be connected (no green light and no power) and no backseat screens. As has been posted earlier, including JOSECONLSCREW28, these birds fly around for a while before going in for DTV install.

Question about this. I understand the pmUA methodology of registering planes. 6XX = 767, 5XX= 757, 4XX = A320, etc.
But how the heck is CO numbering the planes? I can see that the last three digits are the "ship #" but what are the first two digits? Seems kind of non-sensical (like everything else sCO) at first glance. For example, the Dreamliners are ships 901-906 but the first two digits of the reg # seem somewhat randomized: N27901, N26902, N27903, N20904, N45905, N26906

All new 738/739 aircraft will get installed once the aircraft has flown around a few times. The only 738s that are left to get the DTV installations are the Mid-Cabin lav aircraft and those will be among the last to get them. (The 737s based in GUM will not receive DTV) I believe the all of the 753s scheduled to get DTV have them installed already. As for the sUA 757s there's no plans to install drop down LCDs. The only thing the sUA 757s are getting is a cabin refresh, or a complete overhaul to the new PS configuration.

I noticed on Airliners.net that the following UA Express planes are in the Globe paint:
ERJ-170 N857RW: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Unite...f437be0c34a776 (the aircraft number is on the front landing gear)
CRJ-700 N754SK: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Unite...cb29b5f001d469 (note the 754 on the front of the plane)
Hope that helps!
