Would somebody mind PMing me the GS email? I'm a newbie and don't have it yet.

Thanks!

Allikator, glad that your situation was sorted. I am also in SF and was dropped from GS to 1k (after being GS since the beginning). I did get an email today letting me know that they are reviewing this ... I also flew just over 80k ff but only 135k BIS.

I loved your point "they will get what they consider me" ... put a smile on my face.

I just realized that I had gotten my renewal email a week ago, but had missed it in the daily flood of junk email. So, onto a nother year of spending too much time on UA.

For reference, my 2011 numbers roughly were:

175k eqm
105K ff
~$45-50K spend

I just noticed in a quick review of the new "summary of 2012 premier benefits" sight that compensation for Global Entry is ticked off for 1k's. Is this new? I couldn't find any reference to it in a FT search either.

I've avoided signing up for Global Entry (read: I've been cheap because I can't expense it), but if this is a new 1k/GS bene, sign me up.

Yes, it's new this year -- but the benefit doesn't start until the new program on March 3. No word yet on exactly how they will reimburse for the fee.

Still no email or packet - am I alone?

First time qualifier here, so pardon my excitedness...

Status changed on.bomb around mid-Dec, however - I haven't received an email or a welcome packet yet. I sorted through all my spam and nothing.

Is this normal?

I have not received anything either. Just happened to notice on .bomb also that my status changed sometime in early January.

I wouldn't worry about it too much yet as long as .bomb lists you as a GS. Both times I qualified (was GS for a couple of years, lost it for a few years, then qualified again) I never received an email, letter, etc. The package simply showed up in the mailbox.

If you're worried about it, giev the GS phone number a call and veify with them.

I am presidential platinum now so will be GS as of 3/3. What is this "super priority" checkin I see discussed in this thread and is it available at Newark?

Bad form?

Newbie GS with an etiquette question...

Is it forbidden / bad form to take 2 non-GS members through the GS check-in at ORD? I'm traveling with 2 colleagues with lower status and we want to try to get an earlier standby flight if possible...I don't want to ditch them but also don't want to be rude to those who have earned / bought their right to a speedy check-in and security screen.

Thank you

As long as they are travelling with you and you are going through with them, then no issue.

And, I suggest you all be on the same flight. Otherwise it really is 3 seperate check-ins vs. printing 3 BPs. If you're just trying to escape the lines perhaps your buddies can do mobile check-in and you can just escort them though the room/GS line while you check in.
