Hello

In the E PC at IAH on an unexpected layover till about 6 pm. If your in the club look for the guy at the bar talking to Tripp!

Scott6067 Jul 27, 2011 4:11 pm

So I need to have my flight experience for today rated:

Was to fly BNA-ORD-ATW. Starting on the 5am to ORD.

Booked the ticket for 10,000 miles.

Did SDC to the 9 am flight as I had to work until the flight left. Go to get on the flight and the flight goes ATC delayed for 2 hours causing me to mis my connecting flight and due to other cancellations on my route for the day, there were no more seats ORD-ATW. So had them change me to BNA-IAH-MKE. Asked for CPR (compensation) and meal vouchers.

Got to IAH and got the upgrade from IAH-MKE on the 700, the CPR came to $350, and $35 in meal vouchers. All for my original purchase price of 10K miles and $5. How did I do? Should I call and complain?

This thread seems to constantly bouncing in and out of the ICU; sometimes it seems near death and other times it's lively.

At least they're not pulling the plug on it.

If you tell the entire medical support team to buzz off then you may as well just pull the plug. It will happen eventually anyways.

Awesome! :D Then it has a good home. I didn't realize at the time that the classic bright yellow ones are now a limited edition item, since the new ones are a different color.

Mornin' Box....

Excellent dinner party last night: the marinated rib eyes were perfect and many a bottle of Cab and Bordeaux were enjoyed as well....

Plus, we dodged T.S. Don......:-:

Time for a Cajun Bloody Mary, me thinks......:p

Scott6067 Jul 30, 2011 10:08 am

Right now I am in Fort Worth and the breakfast talk around here was how that right now Texas is too hot for any tropical storm or hurricane to get in here.

And, yessir, it is hot around here, a good ten to twenty degrees hotter than it is at our place in South Florida. :)

Yep, that stubborn high pressure system sure is blocking any precip from developing over north Texas, by and large.....

Our friends with AA (whom we sail with in various parts of the world) up in the DFW area tell us the WX has been absolutely awful thus far this summer with 100+ F temps almost every day.....

Very glad we've finally been getting quite a bit of rain here in LFT during the past several weeks .....

BW Needs A Replacement 738

The Bad News: A Caribbean Airlines B737-800 ran off the runway and broke in half early this morning while attempting to land at Georgetown, Guyana. Routing for BW 523 was JFK-POS-GEO. Caribbean Airlines was formerly known as British West Indian Airways (BWIA), nicknamed "Bee-Wee".

The Good News: There were 163 souls on board; however, so far no fatalities have been reported due to the accident.

The Ugly News: One lady passenger who exited the wrecked airplane in the darkness was met by cab driver who offered to drive her to the terminal. The cab driver then charged the lady 20 bucks for the short ride........

Yep, it's been rather grim in Houston as well, precip-wise....

I did get rained on last week while I was over there on biz driving down the Hardy toll road: however, nobody seemed to know just what that stuff falling from the sky was.....they had not seen anything like it in quite some time.

And a very good morning to the Box......

Hey, Scott, are you coming on SMD3?

The RCC at b15 is the nicest one, don't you think?

Get details on SMD3 here: http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/...-thread.13256/

It's officially sold out, but send a PM to Pizzaman as he is maintaining a waitlist.

There was some p*ssing match between FT mods and MP which meant it wasn't allowed to be publicized on FT. Kind of childish.

Steak is good. Steak in Bs.As. is even better. That they only sell wine by the bottle and I was on my own was only a minor problem. :p

I wouldn't expect that to be more than a minor speed bump where you are concerned.
