Ship left on UA839 of the 5th. My experience is that all the doors are almost always open on the 744s laying over at LAX. Mebbe account no APU, no ground power, and therefore no AC inside all day?

Curious what folks favorite UA planes are, including UX.
From favorite to least (assuming I get the best seat possible ), I'd have to say:
747
767 Int'l
777 Int'l
757 p.s.
E120
757
777 Dom
A320
A319
E170
CR7
767 Dom
E145
CRJ (are there best seats?)

Any idea what plane this seat map is from?
Old Int'l 767 F combined with an A320 view as a 2P or below?

Six abreast in both F and Y? Or is that CO's BF that's creeping its way into the fleet?

Browsing pix on Airliners.net I came across N789UA
PHOTO LINK
The photo was taken in Beijing on September 2, 2010. Coupled with the fact UA had stopped painting aircraft, and the fact that this is painted in full white, it can only mean one thing: First UA/CO Bird.
Also
I did not know UA had ever put a 777 in storage- N789UA was in the desert in 2004... crazy.

Weird. So, selon to the photo history, is this plane being pulled out of the desert for the first time in six years?
Secondly, why would it be painted white? Could it be the first plane in the new UniCon livery, or is it being sold?
EDIT: Doing a quick Google search, it looks like N789UA was sold to Air India in 2005 and was re-registered as VT-AIL. Still, if that photo you posted really was taken on September 2, 2010, why would it have the registration N789UA??

EDIT: Wu Weiqiang, the guy who took the photo, is a regular spotter so i doubt he mixed up the dates... Maybe CO is bringing her in under the UA Registration?

Perhaps the date is wrong.
I have seen N213UA (the domestic 777) photographed in PEK...

Did the photographer get the wrong reg. or was the bird in for mx?
And of course, it could be Air India sold the bird back to CO/UA and we'll soon be seeing it in the new UA/CO colors next month during Fleet Week...
