I just gave it a try and it works from the HEX web site. Code 200007 for travel within 2006. The link provided at first is not longer good. Just go to the actual HEX web site.

The discounted price only appears if you enter a 2006 travel date when booking but the confirmation screen states:
So I presume a ticket bought now could be used for a journey up to six or seven months in the future
3. Ticket Validity
All tickets will remain valid and in the system and can be collected from the ticket machine up top six months from the date of purchase. Once a ticket has been collected from the ticket machine it will be valid for:
* Single Ticket - three days
* Return Ticket - one month

The ticket is valid up to 6 month from date of purchase, but it is only valid for use up to 30 days from the original date booked for travel. Therefore, you can book a December 31 and use it before January 30.

Sorry, I didn't make clear that my comment about collecting a ticket from the ticket machine up to six months from the date of purchase referred to Heathrow Express tickets. Gatwick Express and Heathrow Express are run by different companies with different terms and conditions. I don't think this 30 day restriction applies to Heathrow Express tickets - I can't find it on their website. It's not in their "Conditions of Carriage".

Under Section 3.5 of the Conditions of Carriage states:
"Single tickets are valid for three days. Unless dated for a specific day of travel, they are valid on the day of issue only."
If you book online, you state the date of travel. In that case, it seems to be only valid for that date and all you could do is to get a refund under their policy.

Okay, I got an answer back from HEX today and the code has now changed.
Thank you for your recent email regarding the problems you've been
experiencing making your Heathrow Express booking using the current Virgin
Flying Club promotion. Please accept my apologies for the delay in
responding to you. We were unaware of any problems with this promotion so I
have been looking into this matter.
I can confirm that this now has been rectified, as this promotion should be
running until the end of June 2007, so you should have no more problems
making your booking. For your convenience here is the link you'll need
http://www.heathrowexpress.com/index...omoCode=VIRG25. Please do let me
know if you experience any more problems.
I'd like to thank you for taking the time to let us know of these issues,
and again my apologies for the inconvenience this has caused you.
