According to another aviation forum, the Canadian Transportation Agency had approved Turkish Airlines x3 weekly IST-YVR slot but they have rejected their offer to increase YUL and YYZ frequencies. Also, the same poster claimed that Air Canada may restart their flights back to Istanbul depending on aircraft availability.

Yesterday night, the Turkish Consul of New York, Mr. Alper Aktaş had announced that Istanbul - New Jersey ( possibly Newark ) flights would start next month. This statement was made in the celebration event for the 25th year of Turkish Airlines in New York.

To be completely accurate, that would be the 25th anniversary of nonstop service to JFK, as previously to this they flew nonstop from EWR-IST for at least a year and previous to that flew to IST from EWR via BRU which they started in 87.

Newark flights would start on 17 July 2019 on a daily basis. These flights would be operated by A330-300 aircraft.
Currently, there is no information about the scheduling and no information about which Terminal ( B obviously but which pier ) and which lounge TK would contract.
Reservations are currently not open for this route.

YVR also has KLM to AMS, LH to MUC and FRA, AF to CDG, plus Edelweiss (for Swiss). Prices to Europe suck in comparison to what many US cities to Europe cost. Looking forward to flying TK out of YVR, no more connecting through YYZ, LAX, SFO or ORD as I have done over the last 7 years to get on TK.

I get that many sources are saying that EWR is "starting" on July 17th, however as of right this moment, no such flight is loaded anywhere, and on TK's website EWR is not a valid city code, I strongly doubt that it will launch on that date.

Turkish Airlines adds Xi'An service from late-Dec 2019
Turkish Airlines from late-December 2019 is launching new route to China, as the airline opened reservation for Istanbul – Xi’An route on Thursday (14NOV19). From 30DEC19, Airbus A330-200 aircraft will operate this route 3 times weekly.
