Clarifixation from their twitter helpdesk:
Hi again, you may view and calculate how many miles you earn via https://t.co/FhtVg2lARf . You can just add the destinations which you would like to fly and view the booking classes after calculation. After this transaction, if you in business class ( for instance K class), you may calculate the mileage as four times. Also for your convenience, here is a link which shows how many miles can be earned depends on classes; https://t.co/iXvwmppxVD . With our kindest regards.

Still, 4 years of Elite status + the 2 cabin upgrades + the cheap fares ex VNO & TLL make it very interesting...

You are right, Forget the return....
109.747
When I calculate backwards:
40.000 to renew my Elite+
/4 promo
10.000 to renew my Elite+
/1.6 class factor
6.250 to renew my Elite+
/2 return
3.125 distance miles are enough to renew my Elite+
Short trip...

20. What is the meaning of “Bonus Miles”, “Status Miles”, “Total Miles” and “Miles Since Enrollment”?
Bonus Miles are the miles that you earn from the program partner hotels, car rental companies and through the Miles&Smiles credit card expenditures.
Status miles are the miles that you earn on Turkish Airlines and other Star Alliance member airlines flights.
Total Miles are the sum of status miles and bonus miles.
Miles since enrollment are the miles you have earned since your membership effective date.
Basically, they don't have anything like reward miles. You either fly and earn redeemable miles which also count towards your status, or you use their non-airline partners and earn redeemable bonus miles which do not count towards your status.
That makes me thinking that there should be no problem in redeeming the miles. However, this is TK...

Based on this it should count (from TK website):

Why TK would invent a new version of "status miles" that only counted for status but were not available for redemption, I don't know. I doubt their IT could even implement such a thing.
This promo might seem too good to be true, but TK are probably suffering very badly from the security situation in Turkey keeping both the tourists away and giving reason to wonder whether ISIS will manage to infiltrate IST airport. If BA has a triple Avios deal (base miles though) why exactly can't TK have a targeted double / quadruple offer? The only question is whether cheap J tickets on TK get you 400% or 640% of miles flown.
I for one am dusting off the old CAI positioning routes to see what works best...

I'm a EP based in Turkey and also haven't received the e-mail for the promo. So I changed my address to my CH one. They still haven't fixed the bug where you have to choose from a fixed list of cities even if it is totally unrelated to your address. Tried to fix it over the phone but the agent told me they can't change it and that I could just select the geographically closest city Their IT is just hilarious... hope this helps me to get the promo e-mail...

The example from below sounds just unbelievably good:
Buy a Baltics - EZE €1500 J ticket (ticketed to K class).
Regular RT is roughly 17 800 miles.
K class for Elite members makes it nearly 28 500 miles.
Current promotion would make it over 110 000 miles (if the worst scenario came true, it would "only" be slightly over 70 000).
2 hotel nights covered by TK due to long layovers as a bonus.
Considering the positive direction of this Turkish delight, it would mean immediate Elite Plus status + one extra Limited Availability Seat roundtrip in J from Europe to Far East + over 20 000 miles left for another trip.
Well, not sure if Turkish tourism has been struggling this much, but this sounds more like a wake-up call is coming soon. Or, are we really that lucky?

I have bad bad experience with TK. I flew a lot in the past and every I did not get correct miles for a single trip... It was always "something" and at the end or the promotion was not valid, or a booking class was not ok, bla bla bla.
I flew LHR IST SCQ last year and did not get a single mile, saying that it was promotional C class ticket!
Regarding the promotion:
If all that is true, I am pretty sure the 4x or 2x bonus miles are not counted x 175% x 4, but would be:
basic miles 10.000 = 4x10.000 in business and 2x10.000 economy.
So for the return you would get 80.000 bonus miles and without promotion you would get 35.000 (basic x 175%).
I suggest you all double check before buying any tickets! TK is very difficult to deal with and maybe at the end you will not get anything but regular miles.

i am afraid of this. I have sent 2 requests to THY and THY Facebook sent one too, but no answer.
As i guess tomorrow is the last day to book it with this promotion, i will try to call them tomorrow again.

As far as I understood the promotion is valid until 15th June, so I assume if the tickets are bought and flown within this period is ok, but as I advised. I really would not buy something just for the sake of buying....
