The promotion is probably targeted at elites who haven't flown much recently.
I got my Elite status 2.5 years ago through a match with my American Airlines Executive Platinum status. But in reality Turkish and Star in general are my backup airline when OneWorld can't get me where I am going. It took an effort to meet my renewal goal at 2 years and I haven't flown Turkish or Star since.
What I wonder is whether the multiplier applies to what you would otherwise have earned or to base miles. I have an upcoming trip I could fly on Turkish, and the cheapest economy ticket (actually a really good price) is in T class that would normally earn 50% elite qualifying miles and redeemable.
So during the promotion, do I get 2 x 50%? or 2 x 100% of the miles flown? Because at the same price I could also fly Ethiopian, and as far as I can tell, all Ethiopian flights (well, in the classes I am looking at) earn 100% qualifying and redeemable miles anyway.

But my last TK flights were in 2014. Those "50% bonus" routes always showed up in my account as status miles.
I have only ever received "bonus miles" from buying miles and other free miles from updating my account details etc.
Looking forward to feedback from whoever is tempted enough to do some TK flights.

Promotion on tk website:
Matrix wont show FKB-HAV, it is only in eco but it says semi-flexible so it might be a 100% fare it should be like like roughly 30k miles Return *4 ~~
I need 20k miles to requalify... is it for 1 or 2 years ?
