I am wondering what is keeping so long about TK flying IST-MNL. They have made the necessary agreements between Turkey and Philippines http://www.worldbulletin.net/index.p...rticleID=54891. Is it something relating their fleet capacity, there should be enough airplanes to handle this route? What if they are planning to relaunch IST-KUL with extension to MNL? They would need fifth freedom rights to KUL, possible?

I have seen no information on TK website about third daily flight to OTP, although the city is full of advertisements. This is not even mentioned in the summer schedule (http://wwwdownload.thy.com/download/...general_en.pdf)

Searching the flight times I can see they added a late-night IST-OTP flight, with a early-morning return, which is a very good move to attract more travellers to US and Middle-East.

Starting July 11th, TK will increase frequency of flights to Budapest (BUD) from 7 to 10 per week. Complementing the already existing daily flights, the new flights will are scheduled for Mon, Wed and Sat.

I'm very happy, this is good news for everyone seeking shorter layovers from BUD to Asia (like me)

So they are aiming 3x weekly with direct IST-MNL flights in winter 2011? That article is a bit confusing. I have read that article three times and i still can't wrap my head around what it is actually saying.

Yes, it is confusing. After reading the article 4X, my understanding is that TK will start off codesharing with PR HKG-MNL for connections off of TK70 (IST-HKG), 3X/week; likewise in the reverse direction, TK codeshare MNL-HKG (operated by PR) connecting to TK71 (HKG-IST). Eventually this will increase to daily service using TK metal depending on aircraft delivery.
