I wish everyone would stop talking about how great GE is, it just means more down time the more people who join in, unless CBP puts in more kiosks at each location.

If the program is very successful, then I would think that CBP would add more kiosks. Even if more people find out about it, remember that not everybody qualifies for the program.. Even if it takes a minute or two for the kiosk, remember that if the lines are packed, you'll still get through much faster.

Does anyone know if you can use the kiosks for visa holders who need their stamps re-stamped?

What do you mean visa holders? For non-US persons? I thought one of the requirements of GE was that you be a US person (PR or citizen).

What "stamps" needing re-stamping are you referring to, exactly? |

No, there are some non-US citizens that belong to GE, and others that are eligible. It's not widespread though.

Isn't the Netherlands part of the GE program now, and they have a program US citizens can join or am I wrong on this?

Flying from GCM to ATL today so will have a chance to use GE for the first time. Will see for myself just how slick it is.

A GE fringe benefit?
I have flown from MUC to ORD three times this year.
To get to the gates for flights to the US (at least on UA), you go through a secondary security screening. This is complete with metal detectors, bag x-ray equipment, etc. I have had the initial screener (checking passports, boarding passes, etc) remark that I am a member of GE. As I proceed to the actual security lanes, another security staff member calls me over and tells me it is OK to bypass the security screening. Is this a benefit of being in GE or is this just luck or coincidence?? |

am generally very happy with global entry.
still, i'm annoyed that canada and the us can't get their stuff together so that in places where one has to clear customs/immigration physically in canada (at YEG, for instance, where it recently took mr kk and me a full HOUR to clear immigration/security) the CBP sticker on one's passport means absolutely nothing. |
