Congrats to all who are getting speedy approvals.
But ugh... I've been waiting since August 27, 2021 for Conditional Approval.
I'm a Dutch Citizen / Canadian PR and already a Global Entry member (last renewed in Feb. 2020). I know this isn't the place to speculate but I really wonder what the holdup is?
I've applied for Canadian Citizenship and that application is progressing - so maybe agencies do talk to one another and that's what's holding the Nexus application back?! My last trip to the US and my interactions with CBP also didn't go very smoothly (was frisked and escorted into secondary by 4 officers straight from the primary vehicle inspection lane). Turned out to be a case of mistaken identity / extra verification of documents so there could be some extra verification taking place for my application. Though the officer did point out he saw I was a GE member with an active Nexus application too. Who knows...
Anyway, before I stray too far off topic, I'll come back here to update when I finally do get conditional approval.

My wife and I applied for NEXUS at the start of December, 2021. I was conditionally approved within about two weeks. My wife's application is still pending approval. Is this like Global Entry where some are approved alm
st instantly while others wait 6 to 9 months?

Since Nexus involves US CBP as well as Canada CBSA, simply, yes. Very common. Completely normal experience.

Please provide your inputs for below scenario.
I'm a Canadian PR and applied for Nexus in July-2021 via the CBP Portal. My application is still in processing status. I submitted a web form to know the details regarding my case and I received a response stating that Nexus Processing times are 10-12 months. But, I see folks are getting approved within weeks. Is there anything else I need to do so that they look into my application. Can I fill in another application again since my H1 petition on the application has expired and I have a approval now for the extension that I had applied?
Thanks.

Has anyone applied this year, more specifically within the last month or two, and gotten conditionally approved?
I signed up my girlfriend two weeks ago. We have until August to get this done, so theoretically plenty of time. However, given the backlog, I'm just curious on the processing times at the moment.
