SFO Intl Terminal Arrivals accepted my walk-in request on Dec.19 since I didn't want to wait til Feb.2013 for my scheduled appointment. Waited 30 minutes and was accommodated when agents had 1 cancel.

I wonder whether it makes a difference if you're trying a walk-in to move up a scheduled appointment at the same office or you're trying for some GE office that hasn't heard of you. In other words, is there some electronic paperwork that is sent to the GE office you pick when you schedule an appointment in the only available slot far in the future? Or maybe the office sees it as someone to be processed now rather than later, versus processing someone who would otherwise be the responsibility of a different GE office?

I just walked across 4 terminals, waited 90 mins in MIA and didn't get a walk in but they did see one and didn't ask anything about where they were actually scheduled at. Agent said they are always booked out and last interview starts 9:35

I heard the folks at the Global Entry booth at IAD talking with somebody about doing a walk in there yesterday. I'm sorry I didn't know that was possible or I would have left time for it.

The DTW office took 2 walk ins earlier this week as I was waiting for my appointment. Interview only took 15 minutes, including the 6 minute video and kiosk demonstration.

Anybody has done any walk-in interview at LAX lately?

Has anyone been successful with a walk-up interview in ATL?

Passing through in March, one month ahead of scheduled interview. Thought I'd give it a shot. Thanks in advance for the replies.

Unsuccessful walk-in at LAX today 😩 cbp guy wasn't very welcoming nor did anyone answer my attempted phone calls past few days 👎

I tried to get a walk-in twice, unsuccessfully, at LAX in November, no sympathy at all (I even work for the airport). Since the flight was in December, I kept going on the website looking for a cancellation. As luck had it, an opening appeared at the Otay Mesa border crossing, a few days before my flight. I was seriously ready to drive to Calexico or fly to Vegas, if need be, so I was very grateful I did not have to go that far. The 3 hour round trip drive was all worthwhile when I got to bypass the horrible line customs and baggage lines at TBIT in LAX. It was also nice to use the express lines in NZ and AU, although they were nowhere near as terrible as LAX.

I have a scheduled interview coming up at ORD. But it turns out that I will be getting into ORD on an earlier flight that day. Has anyone had any experience at ORD -- hopefully successful -- being able to be taken in earlier in the day for an interview when you already had the interview scheduled for later that day? I have been reading lots of posts about the no walk-in policy, but I am wondering if just coming in a few hours before the regularly scheduled appointment would be handled any differently. Thank you.

Through obsessively checking every 2 hours, I was able to get my husband an 8:15 am appt. on the same day I had mine at 9:45am. They told me to stay in the area and if someone no-showed, they would take me early but it didn't happen and ended up waiting right until 9:45am. Not a big deal as it was only an hour and a half but was in answer to your question. Maybe if you check in and are prepared to sit there, they will take you in earlier in the event of a no show.

Anyone recently successfully able to complete a walk-in interview at IAH, IAD or SFO? Thanks. By the way, the phone numbers listed in the emails are totally useless, no one EVER answer! and I tried at least 3, 4 different locations! ARGG

I think it really depends on the agent. I succeeded with walk-in at IAH inside security. He had a packed schedule but he was able to wrap up people in less than 10 minutes (out of allocated 20 minutes). However, the office outside the security which I tried first refused.
