Well, this is their team info/stats - they've been competing in FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) for 27 years:

And, should one be interested, here's a video summary of this year's FRC competition:

As a finale, here's a video of one of the qualification matches from the California District Half Moon Bay competition event which set a record for scoring:

Enjoy while sipping bourbon!

I have managed to lose yet another mini charger for the phone and so with 47% battery left Im definitely going to need to head back to the hotel for a recharge before my 6pm event but for now it is time to head to Findlay Market. The market is closed tomorrow which is one of the reasons the food tour gave for cancelling.

The plan is to forage a lunch at the market but who knows often these plans struggle in the execution phase

Currently in an uber that smells heavily of urine Yes, Im positive its the Uber and not me!

Just make sure you can by liquor before noon on Sunday.

Findlay Market seen and departed at high velocity. It’s everything I hate, cramped, packed, and pretty unpleasant. Outside there are all sorts of niche and boho stalls.

The best part of the area for me was the street art which is everywhere. I spent a fair amount of time just wandering around. Here is a selection.

The chilli place was closed

However, I could hear music coming from somewhere and it led me to Knockback Nats and the largest portion of free popcorn I have ever seen!

I have just seen two portions of the wings go past and they look amazing so that makes life easy

The wings were absolutely spectacular

This is right next door

So close… I was going to ask if they specialise in tea towels

In other news I seem to be very popular with a certain type of lady….. drunk and desperate

Not something that really comes up as its not available that often unless its like warm by the cereal area. Milk is pretty much the only healthy thing I consume

The heavens have opened! I made a sharp exit from Nats as it was getting a little ‘interesting’ and made my way to willow run which is 5 minutes away and arrived absolutely soaked. I was going to head to Northside distilling but that was a little too far in the wrong direction.

They think they can start my booked old fashioned experience a little earlier but until then a little flight to keep me hydrated

The first experience was a make your own blend bourbon and if I say so myself my custom blend was so good I had to order two bottles. Then after that I had an old fashioned making experience with Pedro. This lasted over an hour and was an absolutely hoot whilst at the same time being highly educational. I can now say that if you put a lemon twist in my old fashioned I’ll probably throw it at you

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The bar staff were hilarious, the experiences were pretty unique, and the end result was amazing.

Back to the hotel at 19:30 and I’m feeling no pain

The willow run team are so much fun I was loathe to leave but I need to get some substantive food to soak up the bourbon tsunami

A little shopping, including two personal blend bottles
