Don´t really know the taxes at Heathrow and frankly don´t cared, as I only looked on the final price. Had now a look in my reservation and difference between finalk price and flight price was 721,55 € per person.

I have a afeeling it's about that additional tip line. As far as I remember, it's customary to tip staff in the US even for stuff that's "free" i.e. a dollar or two per drink in a staffed airport lounge.

Also my idea. Especially strange, as Cap Juluca charges a service fee.

Sure. Nevertheless I'm more and more a friend of the hotels with a strict no tipping policy. It's very relaxing and if I consider the staff gets the service charge it's more than I normally tipp.

Wallblake House
First on the island we drove to the capital "The Valley". It is probably one of the smallest capitals ever, basically it is a village.
The main sight is the Wallblake House, an old plantation house that now serves as a priest's residence. It can be visited only from the outside.

St. Geralds
Next to the Wallblake House is St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church. Actually there are 2 churches. Like many churches on Anguilla, they are open on the sides, which will be due to the temperatures. The old church has already seen better times, anyway some houses on Anguilla are in a miserable condition.

St. Mary's Anglican Church
Next came the turn of the Anglican church St. Mary´s.

We also took the opportunity to visit our first cemetery on Anguilla. It was noticeable that next to some well-kept graves also a lot of totally run-down graves. One grave, for example, had lots of rotten flowers on the high grave in a kind of plastic construction.

Uchu
The second evening we went to the Uchu. Inside at the bar nobody was sitting, outside the pool looked pretty.

Ceviche Carretillero - Peruvian Signature dish based on fresh white fish of the day marinated with our traditional tiger milk. Served with crispy corn, sweet potato, and crispy fried calamari ($25)

Actually quite good, but somehow the spark did not jump over. Everything a bit sour.
Red Snapper Patarashca - Delicious fish seasoned with Peruvian spices and cooked wrapped in a leaf. Providing a special aroma and flavor. Served with a traditional mashed made of Cassava ($34)

The puree was not really my cup of tea, the fish was good.
Chupe de camarones y crayfish - A traditional Peruvian chowder of shrimp and crayfish, combined with a spicy broth with chunky vegetables, poached eggs, and lots of testy ($44)

I don't have a good memory of the dish, it just didn't taste very good to me.
We did without a dessert, also without further visits to this restaurant.

Ruins
I had already said that ruins are more common on Anguilla. Partly, there are construction sites that were simply stopped, maybe once continue to be built or even obviously abandoned houses. Here 2 examples.

Anguilla Arch
One of the few landmarks on Anguilla is the Anguilla Arch. It was not easy to find at first, it went over dirt roads to the destination. There we were first welcomed by a creative fence solution.

The arch itself is quite nice, you can also walk around on it. The view of the water can be addictive, of course.

Cip´s by Cipriani
The third restaurant in the Belmond is Cip's by Cipriani, here they try to make the connection with the famous Venetian hotel fruitful. An Italian restaurant is not necessarily what I prefer on Anguilla, but we try everything.
Good olives and quite greasy focaccia along with other mediocre bread.

The view from the terrace was of course brilliant.

RAVIOLI DI STRACCIATELLA SU TARTARE DI DENTICE Home-made stracciatella cheese ravioli, red snapper tartare, asparagus (45 $)

Good taste, but priced too high at $45. It was not star quality now.
GUACAMOLE ITALIANO Italian guacamole (16 $)

At breakfast they had them for free, but what the heck.
After a plentiful break came the main courses.
GNOCCHI CON PESTO DI PISTACCHIO AL LIMONE Home-made Gnocchi, pistachio pesto, lemon (35 $)

The gnocchi were quite good, but also nothing special
GRIGLIATA MISTA Chargrilled catch of the day, crayfish, prawns, scallop, squid, and mixed vegetables (60 $)

OK, you can't be too demanding. But for $60 I actually expect something else. Now this was not bad, but also not particularly well fried or otherwise outstanding.
This time we took dessert.
TIRAMISŮ Traditional Tiramisu (19 $)

Again, not bad, but you get better tiramisu at some delivery service in Germany. Far from Cipriani. (p.s. plate wasn´t included to take home).
Now came the highlight of the evening.
GELATI, SORBETTI E FRUTTA ESOTICA Ice Cream, Sorbet and Exotic Fruits (15 $)

Actually, you can already see it, that was nothing. Especially the pistachio ice cream tasted unnatural and basically inedible. Unworthy of a restaurant. Also the fruits were very exotic. I hope if someone delivers something like this in a gelato academy in Italy, the cane comes into play. Very bad!
Not an outstanding meal, but nicely expensive. The dessert makes it clear once again that the cooking skills are not very good. It doesn't help to use a big name, you also have to orientate yourself on it.

Lake Mausoleum
On the way we noticed an interesting building on a hill.

While I parked, a large crowd of goats abruptly left the area, of course I was too slow with taking pictures.

It was the mausoleum of a Mr. Albert Lake, MBE, OBE.

Actually nicely done, even if it seems to serve as a goat toilet.
I then researched later. Albert Lake was the largest landowner on Anguilla and was therefore admitted to the Order of the British Empire. The mausoleum stands on land where the family's goats used to graze. The goats don't seem to have quite accepted the rededication yet....
