Dinner: Glam Venice
The last evening in Venice I wanted to eat at a Michelin starred restaurant again. We choosed Glam, the Venetian restaurant of Enrico Bartolini. It holds one star at guide Michelin.
The restaurant is located at Palazzo Venart, a quite stylish hotel. There is a small garden.
The interior of the restaurant is elegant and I would describe it as "modern Venetian".
We decided to take the tasting menu with the usual adaption. I don´t remember what excactly the dishes were so I left you alone with the pictures.
The food was good, the best meal in Venice. It was good 1 star level.

Venice: Canale Grande
Next morning it was time to leave the Aman. Concierge told us watertaxi to the Piazzale Roma would be 70,00 €. No idea why it was 10 € more than last time. As we did only saw small parts of the Canale Grande I asked if it would be possible to drive through it on the way. It was 100 € what I accepted.

Venice: Garage San Marco
I already gave some comments about Garage San Marco. Now it was time to collect our car. First I had to go to the cashier were no payment was necessary. Then I had to go to the to floor. When I saw "my" car I was so happy. Not one, no many seagulls had beautified the car. Really not a nice sight. But the best Thing was, that they had moved the car. Isn´t it parked perfectly?
After I managed to enter it (not so easy with a ruptured medial meniscus on both knees) I drove it out and loaded my bags in. At the moment I entered and started to Programm my Navigation System an unfriendly member of staff told me to leave or better he pointed at the Exit and told me "Exit, Exit". The icing on the cake…. I "thanked" him and asked myself if it was the same moron who parked my car.
I hope there are better parking spaces in Venice, San Marco will not see me again…...

Sirmione: Castello Scaligero
The castle is a fortress at Lake Garda from the 13th century.
From inside there are no impressive rooms or other gems.
The treasure is the location which means you enjoy great views from the different levels.

Sirmione: Gelato
You find a lot of Gelato in Sirmione or let´s say cheap ice-cream for expensive prices. I didn´t try one but I´m sure they were awful.
Not so sure about this one:
But I will never show this picture to my dog

Bergamo: Relais San Lorenzo
Time for our last hotel, Relais San Lorenzo. It is part of Small Luxury Hotels and for some reason it was on my list for a while. First Task was to reach the hotel which is located in the old town and a limited travel zone. Navigation system was useless and after some drives through the historic City. In the end I found the way. First you have to enter here:
Now you are here (I was once before but didn´t dare to go further).
Yes, you have to drive through this gate:
The hotel itself is new but build on Roman ruins, An interesting building.
The lobby is modern
There is also a terrace with a nice view:

Bergamo: Relais San Lorenzo
I booked the hotels top-suite, the San Lorenzo Suite. It has the number 206.
The suite is modern furnished but for my taste a little small. Also the storage space was not generous, I had problems to store our laguague or even to hang up all our stuff.
The bathroom was open but good sized with a window, a huge shower and a very huge bathtub.
The shower had light-effects
The suite had the biggest terrace of all rooms, but it wasn´t very private.
Video of the suite:

Bergamo: Hostaria restaurant San Lorenzo
The first evening we had dinner at the Hostaria restaurant at the hotel. The setting is spectacular, I would say the most spectacular during our journey. You will find more about it when it comes to the breakfast.
The food was on a high level, near to 1 Michelin star quality. Service was attentive.

Bergamo: Relais San Lorenzo breakfast
Breakfast is served in the Basement were also the restuarant is located. As I said bevor the space is stunning. The area is integrated in ancient ruins.
There is the bar.
The ruins:
The buffut is if you consider the size of the hotel extensive and was of very good quality. Only the juices were relatively cheap.
In addition to the buffet they also offer a selection of a la carte options. Unfortunately not all are included in the rate.

I liked my stay at Relais San Lorenzo. The location for Bergamo is perfect and the hotel has style. Sure, there were better hotels on my journey but I would stay here again. Service was friendly and they really try to improve your stay.
