Great thorough review. This seems more like a resort town... so if I wanted to experience more of the Spanish culture & food, would you recommend Mallorca or Barcelona?
I also have an infant who will be 8 months when I plan on visiting in October. Not sure if I should visit when she is older or go now. Thanks! |

I rented a car at Sixt. I booked a BMW 1er/ Audi A3 which was 320 € for 9 days. They tried to sell me a BMW 4er cabriolet for „only 79,00 € more per day, more than it would had cost if I had booked it straight from the beginning. So they looking for the stupid... Of course I declined, I´m anyway not a big fan of cars with missing roof.
So I got a relative new A3 TDI with navigation system, which was fine. I think it is because auto are rare that they will have only big cars with it. |

I took dinner at Es Vi.
The food wasn´t bad, the portions more on the small side. Nothing to remember for years, but a solid meal. But this main course does appear really undersized. |

I found that when I booked an automatic in EU or UK, they would always try to upsell me to the next higher level, but when I decline, they would give me that car for free.

By American proportions all of EU is tiny portions.

Hotel breakfast at EU hotels put US hotels to shame. The breakfast buffet I had at the Sheraton a week ago wasn't that great and makes me long for for the great breakfasts I've had at hotels in EU and Asia. Great report!

Great TR, I'm using it to plan my 4-day long weekend there!
Quick question for you, if you had to choose between the St regis and the Castillo Son Vida, for a couple to unwind/relax, which one would you go for? |

Time for a conclusion!
Best hotel? Hard to say. Best room was Belmond in my eyes, best over all product Cap Rocat. Best restaurant? Simply Fosh Best sight? Very very hard to say! I´m still fascinated from the many great nature views. Sa Calobra, Cap Formentor and Castell d´Alaró in special. Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró was my favourite museum, Coves de Drac and Coves d´Artà were my favourite caves. Would I recommend a trip to Mallorca? Absolutely yes, go for it! We can't wait to go back to the hotel. The setting is simply stunning and service was great - and the breakfasts in your suite overlooking the bay..... plus there weren't a lots of people due to Covid, only a few so-called/ self-proclaimed influencers who stayed there for a night.... |

Just came back from a trip to Mallorca - we stayed in the Cap Rocat and really loved it (especially given that I have initially booked the Jumeirah - which cancelled our stay; then I booked the Belmond - which cancelled our stay; and then booked the St Regis - which of course cancelled our stay).
