Palma - Museu Es Baluard

Next will be Palma de Mallorca, the cultural and business centre of the island. I will do some smaller posts as it would be too much for one.
Letīs start with Passeig de Mallorca and the Torrent de sa Riera. Attachment 10211 Next is Museu Es Baluard. Itīs a very interesting building which is integrated in the old town wall. Palma - Palau de sīAlmudaina

The Palau de sīAlmudaina is the royal palace of Mallorca and is located opposite the cathedral.
Below the palace lies a pond inside a courtyard from which you can see the the palace. Peaceful place with swans. Wow ! Great TR so far ! Actually, it's almost too good as there may be some spots I no longer need to visit. Planning a trip to Mallorca in November. I'm actually waiting for PH to open up... Hotels seem a bit lacking in certain respects. Maybe I'm getting too picky.
Btw, am I the only one to notice that you travel with quite a bit of luggage for a solo traveller offerendum ! ;) |

No visit of Palma is complete without a tour through the cathedral. I would perhaps go so far to say, itīs the most important sight on Mallorca and one of the most important churches at the world.

Museu de Mallorca is located at the Palau Ayamans and is claimed to be the most important museum on Mallorca. OK, itīs nice but the most important? I guess it depends on point of view....

Palma - Banys Arabs

Mallorca has an Arabian history, so you also can visit the Banys Arabs from the 1oth century. Wouldnt really call it impressive, but nice to see.
