Ah yes I forgot to mention that there is a 500 yen deposit on the card.

Given the number of times I have been to Japan in the last few years I suspect mine will be used again before too long.

Another Photo Interlude - Blossoms in the rain

I went to Inokashira Park this morning to take photos of the cherry blossoms by the lake. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too kind to me as it was raining the whole time I was there.

A few more photos in the set here

Magnificient report and stunning pictures so far, many thanks moomba. I had a chuckle when I saw that you're also a member of our group of "can't spend Easter at home" travellers.
CX Signature Drinks:
Cathay Delight - A kiwifruit based non-alcoholic drink with coconut juice and a touch of fresh mint.
Thrilled to see that this is still around. Only 6 more months until I can order my next one...

My western meal was better on this short flight. CX food is certainly better than some other carriers I frequent.

I am glad you like the report and pictures.

Ah yes airoli, any holiday, long weekend one has to take flight. Especially with the weather the way it has been in London of late. Brrrr.

The Pacific Sunrise / Cathay Delight and Oriental Breeze / Cloud Nine combinations alternate months I believe. I got both as my LHR-HKG was in March and the HKG-HND was April. Hopefully you will be flying during the right month to get the Cathay Delight.

@:-) Even month, so should be in luck!

BTW, I also remember all signature drinks being available at the bar in the lounges.

Enjoy the rest of the trip!

Always good to read a TR by Moomba.

Looks like you enjoyed your time doing "hinami".

Awesome pics particulary the one with the all the trees lining the lake.

Brings back wonderful memories of my time in Japan

Many thanks and looking forward to your JL flight

Is there a special word for hanami in the rain?

Of course today, the day I am to leave Japan the sun is shining and nary a cloud in the sky.

Great report. Thanks.

The CX arrival lounge is indeed small and always crowded. That said, they offer a mean bowl of noodles.

Cherry blossoms looked great even in the rain. Did you go to Ueno Park?
