Normally I believe that it's none of the FA's business to act shocked when you request a tequilla shot, but I hope you can hold your end of the bargain. That means know your limits. I'll admit that I drink a bit too much but I do my part not to be part of the problem, that means no exit rows, no random chatting, no being an ... to other pax when I'm drinking on an airplane.

Some of us are under 30 and don't drink that garbage.

I think Captain Morgan and Coke is a great combo. Alas, these days I probably enjoy one of those less frequently than once a year -- it's the Coke which is too much sugar for the hubster and the caffeine, which I can't drink past 10 AM or so. Captain Morgan alone, no, but they justify their existence with how tasty they are with a Coke. It's certainly better than what I recall from my college days -- White Russians and/or Harvey Wallbangers. Never, never, NEVER again on the Harvey Wallbangers. You younger folk don't even know what I'm talking about. Be glad you don't. For those rare few who had no interest in sampling the many drugs of the 1970s, the evil of the Harvey Wallbanger was quietly waiting in the wings to make sure you experienced at least something of alternative universes. (universii?)

Remember, the wine glass on DL are the mini version of a regular wine glass. It would take several servings to equate to a regular serving.

Whereas a shot is a shot.

I think the hesitation is more on the part of the attitude of the FA - the last few weeks the shots have been flowing without hesitation (my limit is 3 sometimes 4) on NW/DL - so the service has been great - if this is a trend - awesome for me

Absolutely, I agree - there is nothing worse than having to tolerate the idiotic behavior and actions of a drunk on a plane - my limit is 3 sometimes 4 shots. I am gracious, polite and very respectful towards FA and fellow passengers. mostly i listen to my Ipod with my bose headphones on and unless i feel a connection with the person sitting next to me, i rarely talk. I must admit if the FA is an attractive Female, I do flirt but in a respectful manner and I do not need to feel inebriated to flirt!
