Things you can only get "over there".

My wife and I now have a list of a few things that we have to pick up during our travels because they're difficult to find here at home. I was curious to know what's on other people's lists:
  • Axe Roll-On Antiperspirant/Deodorant I ran out of my usual stuff while on vacation in New Zealand and got this because it was the only thing available in the nearest service station/convenience store. I decided I really like it and, while the Axe brand is available in the US, they don't sell the roll-on here. I now have a 1.5 year supply stashed away in the cellar.
  • Badoit My wife loves the stuff. I like it as well. As mineral water goes, it has a pretty high mineral content, but it really tastes wonderful. I finally found a place on the web that will sell it buy the case, but it simply can't be found on store shelves here. Obviously, water isn't something you can easily bring back to horde.
  • Boots Paracetamol with Codeine You can certainly find the formulation in the US, but it requires a prescription. I travel through LHR often enough and the tablets are cheap enough that it's just easier to get it there. Since they'll only sell you one box at a time, I hit just about every Boots in LHR while transiting. Bad headache? Take one pill and it's gone. Really bad headache? Take two and its gone. The formulation seems just right to keep you from getting drowsy, too.

What's on your list?

Absinthe

PS: I know what you mean with the Badoit and know the site you reference. They are not an authorized reseller and their shipping prices are ridiculous. I once heard a story that Badoit isn't sold in the US because the French want it for themselves :)

Five spiced pork cube in cans. Can't find them in the US or Canada.

We have a standing order to bring Cherry Ripe chocolate bars when visiting relatives in the UK and jars of Vegemite when visiting the US.

Rivella - got hooked on it when I lived in Zurich. Also, Cadbury Flake. And, god help me, Vegemite.

(Yes, I know all of these are available with some searching in the US, but much easier to find overseas.)

I spent my entire week's trip in England trying to find Wispa bars. No luck - heck, most people had no idea what I was even talking about. Picking up a last minute bottle of soda just as I was making my way to the gate, the news stand at the airport had them!

I also completely forgot to try out Double Cream when I was over there.
