Anyway, nah... too many paid subscriptions already. Don't need another one.

I really do enjoy reading his column. I thought his tips on luggage last week were helpful, and I have been looking for the Porter luggage on Ebay. He does seem a bit label concious, however. He definitely gives a unique perspective, with a definite Japanese influence. Actually, I love the weekend Finanacial Times. The travel articles are often about places no one else talks about.

Did a search on some of the BA Tyler Brule pages and saw the following. I think it nicely sums things up. I have to say, his last name must be a joke!!!

Even better than the superb work of Lucy Kellaway is your brilliant parody of the design and marketing world by "Tyler Brl". Everything from his hilariously unlikely name to his pointless whirl from one business-class lounge to another makes for the most perfect take-off of this vapid world.
His appreciation of utterly obscure brands and his ridiculous delight in absurd products are absolutely brilliant - it could be a fish-in-a-barrel target but it is so superbly over the top. It couldn't be more devastatingly accurate.
The inclusion in last weekend's column of a supremely chic carpet-sweeper was just inspired. Thank you for such superb entertainment.

His column is often interesting and worth a read but he does seem to live in his own fantasy land at times
The above post (#12) does sum him up pretty well

Here are some threads on Tyler Brule from the BA board:
Tyler on LHR:

Tyler goes to Vegas:

Tyler appointed (allegedly) to redesign BA's Club World cabin:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=495008
Tyler savages Aer Lingus
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=464476
BTW. All the references to Lucy Kellaway and Martin Lukes are Financial Times columns (the latter is a spoof) which you must all read.
Word in the Australian press is that Tyler is planning another media venture, possibly broadcast and print.
