I've got 6 hours to kill there on Sunday...
Hopefully I will be able to access AA's club, any secrets/tricks to get into BA's
Lounge? or suggestion of a gym in the airport?
Thanks...

As Globaliser mentioned, you can buy lounge access.
http://secure.holidayextras.co.uk/toolkits-lounges/
An option at each terminal is available at 17.95 (or 18.95 for the 3 storey Holideck in T.4).
You could always go into London with the Heathrow Express though (journey time 15 minutes)
There's plenty more info in the London forum - a question about a 6 hour layover was asked HERE

The option of taking the HEX or Tube into town is fine tho you have to clear immigrations and then re-clear when you return to LHR. Depends on the time of day if this will take 10minutes or 45 minutes.
When/if you post more, we can help.
You do not need to post flight numbers but cities and airlines and class/tier are pretty important.

The AA lounge is in Terminal 3. The BA lounges are in Terminal 1 and 4. You only have access to departure lounges in the terminal you are departing from. BA also have arrivals lounges in both T1 and T4. Access to all lounges is normal travel in J or F and OW elites travelling on a OW flight.

Wouldn't risk going into London with only six hours between flights & I certainly wouldn't recommend the HEX or Heathrow Connect to do it with. Both take you to Paddington which is a long way from any of the likely things you'd want to see. Once you've worked out the total travel times you find that you are spending a lot of money to gain 10-15 minutes at most in TOTAL and in some cases it's quicker overall by Tube.
If you want to get out of the airport, get a bus to Windsor BUT allow a lot of time to get back

I have done the trip into London many times on layovers, and 6 hrs is more than enough time. If you take the tube to Piccadilly and factor 45 minutes each way for the trip this leaves you 2 1/2 hrs in Central London and then 2 hrs back at Heathrow.
This leaves plenty of time for a nice walk, pub lunch and a few pints in one of the worlds greatest cities! I would do this any day over hanging out in any lounge.
