Holy Crap. This is the funniest thing I've ever read on FT!

Nothing to report here at the Sheraton Bilbao; not even in the "Nuevo Testamento."

I'll be sure to tear apart the room at the Waltham Abbey Marriott next week.

NWA-Plat is right. Funniest thing going. Asked my SO if he'd found anything interesting in hotel rooms, he said sure, magazines etc. all the time (and thanks you all for the behind the drawers and above the toilet ideas). But the best thing was the video.... Made the mattress all lumpy.... I decided I'd rather not know more at that point except that it was the Holiday Inn South in Lansing MI....

Hey everybody, please be careful in your searching. Don't go reaching into anything you can't see, like the back of a desk drawer, it could just as easily be a discarded needle from somebody as a discarded porn magazine. It's fun to search, but not fun is somebody gets way more then they wanted from it.

I really like the idea of leaving stuff behind though.

It's true, it's true. This is a certifiable FT Classic thread, speaking as founding member and all.

Note to self: Add hotel treasure hunting to travel rituals. That is all.

I've got at least two different stays booked in Munich and Berlin next month, and maybe as many as four. I may just leave some, uh, Christmas cheer behind if you all promise to be good little boys and girls.

That said, any requests?

I was at the Ontario, CA Doubletree this past weekend and found nothing there. they recently remodeled so maybe there hasn't been eough time for "stashers" to have stayed in the room I was in.

I haven't read the whole thread but I was looking through Pg. 5 and I think that was a wise advisement to not go reaching into places you can't see. I think it's also paranoid , but like Mama always told me; "Just because you're paranoid , doesn't mean they're not out to get you"[Mom has a quirky sense of humor])

As for marking the porn with an FT , I think I would be grabbing my side from laughter if I found that. It's certainly prudent to say that FlyerTalk shouldn't be associated with this , but who else but folks on this board would know what a cryptic "FT" in the magazine meant.

As for the whole thread , I too have succomb to the insanity , and I didn't find anything at the 4Pts. Pleasanton on a recent mattress run.

Can't remember which hotel it was, but I was crawling under a desk once to plug in a charging device of one sort another, and I noticed something: someone taped a sign to the underside of the desk that said "Move along, there's nothing to see here."

Room 1907 in the Marriott Santiago Chile is porn-less. Methinks I just didn't look hard enough, though.

wow - thats a lot of disclaimers sharon (& an unusually large number of "i'm not interested ... really" .. dont you think? .. Think I figured this one out - the reason why you dont care to check is because you leave it behind??
Just kidding..

2nd disclosure - it would never have occurred to me to actually LOOK for an adult-themed magazine anywhere, whether female or male adult-oriented. Don't disapprove- just quite frankly don't care/not interested.

I'm usually more into the *%!@ where the heck is the ethernet/modem connection grrr. btw - even w/o ethernet still wouldn't have occurred to me - i'm not into porn really.

3rd disclosure - i'm guessing from the title of this thread that some of you look for said items so go for it, but do hide it in case there are kids in the room the next time

4th disc - won't check back on this thread again due to travel i think, so wish you all the best.

Cheers all.

I've taken up the habit of looking under couch/chair cushions, but in Vegas only.

Why you ask? Because a buddy of mine found a black $100 chip under his chair in our room

But NOW I'm definintely checking between the mattresses and behind the drawer and in the ceiling tiles in all cities lol

I just stayed at the Read House in Chattanooga and didn't find a thing in the drawers (no ceiling tiles to move). It's been remodeled fairly recently, so I'm guessing that does drop the odds of finding anything dramatically.

An exchange with my wife last week, while at the Aladdin in Vegas...

Wife: "Why are you taking the drawers out"

Me: "Looking for porn. According to Flyertalk posters, people are regularly finding magazines behind hotel drawers."

Wife: "Oh, good luck" {major sarcasm in the way she said it}

No joy, BTW.
