Zero U.S. I've read so much here about the RCCs and their Matrons. Why are they not on the list?

Schipol?
Yeah, it's been about 6-7 years since I've been through there, but I didn't think it was any better than O'Hare then. It can't have changed that much unless it's been completely bulldozed.
And even if it has, it wasn't exactly the cleanest place I've ever seen, and that's not likely to have changed.

I don't know what Schipol you went to, but that is one damn nice airport. I have always seen it spotless, the access to ground transportation is very convenient, and if you take the train, very frequent at all hours of the day or night. Customs and immigration are always thorough and efficient, the place is well-marked, there are nice shops and food options available, and overall it's a very well-planned and well-maintained airport.

Schipol?
...and best of all it has a casino! Cha-Ching!

The La Guardia Worldclub missed the cut....

I agree with the top airport list. But I would have added the BA MB Spa and terrace lounge to the club list.
And the OP missed the First Class lounge list...
Cathay Pacific Hong Kong, China
Thai Airways Bangkok, Thailand
South African Airways Johannesburg, South Africa
Asiana Airlines Inchon, South Korea
Malaysia Airlines Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Lufthansa Frankfurt, Germany
Singapore Airlines Singapore
Qatar Airways Doha, Qatar
Gulf Air Bahrain
Swiss Air Zurich, Switzerland
It's interesting that Swiss Air made both lounge lists. They must have improved vastly since I last tried them.

I agree 100%. I try to spend as little time as possible in an airport and quite honestly don't need any pampering while waiting for a flight. Give me a quiet little oasis away from the crowds in a terminal, a desk where I can do some work, a bar, clean restrooms and a TV. US loungers give me just that and I'm a happy camper.

It makes a huge difference in travel if you can actually enjoy the airport. I love spending time at Changi (and not only in the SQ lounge) when I am on my way out, as well as when I arrive in a long-haul flight and know that the airport is so efficient that within half an hour after deplaning I am going to be home.Quote:
I share a similar sentiment with you da_guy. I like to preserve my personal bubble quite a bit. A place where I can seat comfortably, sip my favorite drinks, and work/browse through my laptop will always guarantee a good lounge experience for me. If only UA RCC clubs would provide free Internet connection on their lounges, then it would be perfect.Originally Posted by da_guy

If only UA RCC clubs were spacious enough to accomodate their clients comfortably.
Come to think of it, several years ago UA had these kind of clubs. They were called International First Class lounges. The difference is that those were cut back drastically after 9/11 and have never recovered. Another difference is that most airlines have that type of club even for their business and elite passengers.
I know you don't really need that level of service for a typical 1-3 hour flight, but it is nice to have especially when there are significant delays or if you are on a transcon flight.

I'm happy to report that all work within the existing terminal has been completed, and works extra smoothly! I don't know of many other hubs where you can make an effortless 35 minute connection from an ATR (and with upgrade to boot Originally Posted by chrissxb

) !They're building something or other attached to the terminal but that doesn't affect the inside of it (at least the areas directly accessible to pax).
