Are you this guy?

http://www.theonion.com/onion3847/frequent_flyer.html

I found this a riot!
I fly a lot and I really try to avoid this attitude. The other night some guy tried to give me pointers on using the Envoy lounge before I left for CDG. He was "an expert" since he was a " gold". The tips to me were after he was finished telling the flight attendants all he knew. I am sure that the Flight attendants must have to bite their lips some times!

Well, this guy does exist. I've met him. Doesn't look anything like the guy in the photo, though...

officious: excessively forward in kindness, offering or performing services not wanted; annoyingly eager to oblige or assist; meddling.

We have here a busybody. Who says they don't come in both male and female versions.

The Onion is the greatest satire on the web (IMHO). Unfortunately, they are dead one with this one. In my experience, this guy usually has a lot of purchases from Brookstone and likes to whip out the laptop ASAP to show how important he ( or she) is
I am glad that you all found it funny too. It made me more aware of some of the " advice" I dispense!

The Onion is hysterical. The articles that they come up with make me laugh out loud so hard.

He gave me tips on getting business-class upgrades. He bragged about getting his oversized luggage onto planes as carry-on because of some weird routing loophole he knows about.
Sounds like any FTer.

And he went on and on about this magic, uncrowded bar at O'Hare, which he made sound like an oasis in the middle of the desert.
A-ha! Caught the lie! If he were real, he would be discussing airline lounges, not bars. Also how he gets free drink coupons to use on the flights.
