We'll it's obviously a spoof - everyone here knows you can use Continental's Online Check-in even if you HAVE bags to check!

Reminds me of the thread "Do you talk to other passengers about FlyerTalk?"

My first thought was "Hell, no. I leave people alone hope to god they leave me alone too!"

Classic! I often cringe at the thought of being accosted mid-flight by someone with diarrhea of the mouth...

There is no Newark Airport Westin, just a 4 Points and Sheraton.

Looks like the Newark Westin will loose a lot of a business after those public remarks in the press
Now if only such a property existed in the first place at Newark Airport
Another accurate and fully researched piece of journalism !

The article reminded me of an old SNL skit (Bill Murray?) about "Frequent-Flier Man" dipensing flight wisdom like "I never recline the seat all the way right at first - only recline half way so you can get a little more relaxation partway through the flight."

First thing I though of is, why is he buying drinks when they are free in the lounge. I wonder if he even knows where the lounge is.

I believe the article was an example of satire not parody.

I read a while ago about someone who had the bumper sticker "honk if you know the difference between parody and satire". This was in an article analysing "the office" after it won two golden globes and how strange this was as americans don't get irony.

Sorry for getting off topic...
