c'mon dovster, you must know that the white stuff falls every year or two in feb. in jerusalem. maybe you got confused cause you live on the coast? I hear that it melts within a few days or so. normalcy will return.

I don't live on the coast, I live in the Galilee mountains and, yes, we get snow here about once a year. This time was unusual because it snowed for two straight days.
For two short periods in my life I lived upstate New York -- once near Buffalo and once in Port Jervis, so I will confess to a passing acquaintance with the stuff.
