White Stuff Falling

Hopefully, some of you who live in other areas of the world can tell me what is happening here.

Suddenly, this morning, a lot of white stuff started falling out of the Israeli sky. I can see it from my window -- it is sticking on trees, sidewalks, and even rooftops.

Children seem to be gathering it up and making it into balls and throwing it at each other. Others are trying to make the stuff look like fat men.

Does anyone have any idea of what this cold, white, wet stuff could be?

For a short while I thought I was confused and had wound up in Mich Swiss' neck of the woods. Then I realized I couldn't have -- there are no watch stores, chocolate shops or banks in my immediate vicinity.

Dallas is experiencing a similar phenomenon right now. Seems to happen once every 3 or 4 years here.

Snow in Dallas? Snow in Israel?

Could this all be part of global warming?

Err, maybe not.

Even North Dakota has today warm sunny mid 30s. We run around in T-Shirts and complain about the heat!

It snowed in 96 when I was in Texas, funniest thing in my life, they actually closed for 2 weeks the schools....

It was snowing here just a mere hours ago... Waikiki is covered in it and the state's called for a year in emergency as we try and shovel our way out with the snow shovels and plows we don't have.

... okay maybe not, but I wished it snowed here (besides Mauna Kea).

aloha

Ah! This jogged an old memory... Does anyone else remember Linus van Pelt's asking the same question?

It snows here all the time. Currently, it is 3 degrees Fahrenheit (much less with wind chill) and "bracing" is not exactly how I would describe it outdoors...

Last week I was in Buffalo, NY, and it snowed more there than here, which I didn't really think was possible.

Nah, it's because A-Rod signed with the Yankees.

Be careful; it might be carbs falling from the sky.

Carbs? Italian national police -- carabinieri? Why would they fall from the sky? They're not paratroopers.

Besides, they wear blue uniforms, not white.
