I think the OP was using a bit of hyperbole in the thread title. You can't actually get sunburned from increased solar activity.

However, after my last flight I sprouted a third ear on the back of my head. Wonder if that's related.

That is amazing.

Actually I have noticed that I become more sunburned, each time I fly to Brasil. Especially afterwards.

I'd love to get a bit of a tan whilst flying!

Solar Flares

“We are adjusting the flight pattern of a few of our flights,” Anthony Black, a spokesman for Delta, told FoxNews.com. “We’re flying further south than we would normally fly.”
The flares can disrupt communications and there can be excessive radiation that the airline did not want to risk exposing passengers and crew to.

American Airlines, which has some flights that fly similar routes, did not make any changes at the time of this report."

Delta Thread ( I avoid Delta and the Delta forum like I avoid a Nuke reactor melting down)

Prime example of "Avoid bumping threads more than 2 years old".

Especially when you completely misunderstood the OP in the original one.

This wasn't bumped - it was a new thread (@post #5) that was just merged with a really old one, for some reason.
