We get taxed more here in the US than we did in the UK. If we wanted to move somewhere to 'dodge tax', there are surely a thousand better places to move to than the US. I guess as you're so well versed on tax and immigration affairs, you realise that you don't just become a citizen when you move somewhere. We're still British Citizens because (and it's surprising I know), you don't just lose your citizenship because you happen to have a visa for another country. In fact, in the US, you have to be a resident, with a green card, for 7 years before you can even get US citizenship. We're not even green card holders yet, we're planning to see how it goes and may look into that route down the line.

None of us have been back to the UK since we moved (although I had a connection there briefly earlier this year). And in any case, why would she pay thousands for a flight and fly thousands of miles for treatment? Our (albeit expensive) health insurance here gets us access to any treatment we need far faster than the NHS ever did. Can you give a link to the Q&A video you think you saw? Honestly think you might be mistaken.

I remember you! Hope you're well! One of your comments (where you told me to get a real job) actually inspired me to work really hard and plow on through to keep creating content for my viewers throughout the last few years, so thank you! My staff (back then) consisted of 1 x editor and 1 x community manager, as well as my publicist who was contracted. Her contract has since ended, and we now employ 2 x editors, 2 x community managers as well as my wife who coordinated brand deals and speaking gigs. We're currently recruiting over here too so that will be expanding soon. Hope this clarifies things.

Actually my issue wasn't you having a real job. It was your pretending to be a journalist whilst breaking every covid rule under the sun while those with a hint of morality - most of your peers - stayed at home.
I've not watched your channel much since then so couldn't really care less about your progress or lack thereof.

And I suspect using contractors and not employees on payroll.

KL/AF doesn't allow recording photos/videos without asking specific permission on their planes. I very much like that.

A thread titled, "Annoying vloggers" on Flyertalk is probably not the best place for you to win hearts and minds.

The only two I can stand are Dennis Bunnik and Jeb Brooks. Every other none I have had the misfortune to trying to watch I find exceptionally annoying and will avoid. There was one particularly annoying one who thought he worked for NASA. And one called nonstop Dan.

I can't stand them.

Youtube started recommending a new one - Flip Flop Traveler.

He has some unique content, including less-opted airlines, as well as some hotel and cruise reviews. He's also articulate and his videos seem pretty well edited.

My only complaint is that he's too eager to proclaim he's unbiased because airlines/cruises/hotels don't pay him. Valid point, Kevin, but tone it down.

Nonstop Dan proclaims this every video. How true these claims we can't tell, but in NSD's case, what happened with his love affair with Qatar? He dropped them pretty quickly...

Think he means Trek Trendy. Guy wears a NASA shirt at all times in every video.
And he's obsessed with Timberland shoes. Someone needs to tell him Americans see Tims as the Brits see Stella Artois.
It's kind of .... weird.

Most people who are obsessed with their own clothing / footwear are a bit strange.....

That process was detailed here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qata...pensation.html
Much as he loves the inflight experience he hated the inconsistencies that prevented him from obtaining these experiences. In other words, he would pay/redeem miles for X, be provided with Y and then find Qatar giving unacceptable excuses (excuses at odds with their promises and policies) for why he would not be entitled to adequate compensation.

I'm sorry you had to experience that. I have never experienced sitting next to a vlogger on a flight. I hope I never come across one. I know it's their job, but in some situations the vloggers should think about how other people around them feel. If the LED light he had was shining everywhere, he should have turned it off, because it must have been disturbing. It's sad how his camera blocked your view of takeoff and landing, I would definitely be upset if I couldn't watch it because of someones GoPro blocking the view.

I like Nonstop Dan but don't watch his videos as he's vegan so only reviews vegan food on the plane which is useless to me.

Just curious what date you remember meeting me on a LHR-MAN flight. Just because I don't attach my cameras to the window (for a few years now) and I've only ever filmed LHR-MAN once, and was in 1A with noone in front of me, so was just curious if you might have been mistaken with someone else? Other than that I know I'm pretty annoying so won't judge you for that!

Feel free to clarify anything you'd like to, more than happy to chat about anything.

Hope you have a great day!
Noel

I did love your videos and have huge respect for what you do. But after you cutting a holiday short just because the airline lost your bags in insane. Why didn't you just buy some cheap clothes for a few $?

Content, naturally.

Yeah, if they don't go out of their way to fabricate drama, they're left with lounges, takeoff/landing, seats, food, ife, and toilets... painfully boring.

I absolutely love that part of the content. The editorializing and drama makes me shut things off. I fell in love with Dennis Bunnik, Jeb Brooks and Simply Aviation because they provide some light fun along with their terrific walk-through of products and service. Watching someone struggle with customs/security/inflight/connections is not for me. I have experienced it enough myself.
