What causes this behavior
Ran by this dozey of a video clip. I don't remember seeing this on the news.
Lack of meds? I feel sorry for the children on the plane. They must have been scared out of their mind.

About 10 percent of the population is said to have diagnosable mental issues. The odds say some are on your flight. With flying as stressful and dehumanizing as it is today it's a wonder more people don't snap like this.

There have always been nut cases among us. You just don't see it very often. Work in a first-responder profession and you get used to it, unfortunately. Some people are one delayed flight or stolen parking place away from a major psychotic break. Agreed that it is disturbing to experience.
As a retired professional and LEO educator, I think the APD folks handled it pretty well, all things considered.

Also disturbing were the overhead bins. I've never flown Spirit, but I'm familiar with the reputation. Are those advertisements?

Is it safe to assume that man will not be allowed to fly Spirit in the future?
