Spirit Flight 404: Passenger makes bomb threat

I'm surprised no one has posted about this incident yet:

http://www.ajc.com/news/news/nationa...-flight/nb26q/

The guy goes ballistic when the police in ATL remove him from the aircraft.

I am reading this right. A passenger says something about a bomb and he will not face any charges. Is there not a federal law for this.

Based on what I've seen from other news sources, the man was found to be mentally unstable (obvious in the video). Just a guess, perhaps the prosecutors opted not to file charges if he's actively seeking psychiatric treatment. If the guy is truly batsh*t crazy, it's possible he wasn't aware of his actions due to the mental impairment.

I'm just glad none of the other passengers were harmed during his outburst.

Well, I s'pose having to fly on Spirit can be enough to make an already-unstable person snap.

That was the day after my 9:47 p.m. FLL-ATL turned into a 1:10 a.m. FLL-ATL (arriving ATL 3 a.m. in concourse D with everyone having to walk the .75 mile to the terminal). Who knew the next day would have something worse?

Just a wild guess but the guy looks like he could be ex-military and a possible PTSD case.
