Drinks to Friends?
If I am upgraded to first class, one of the 'perks' people like is the 'free alcohol' - of which I won't be drinking.
Can/Do people send their 'free alcohol' back to traveling companions sitting in Economy? Is this allowed?

I think this is pretty tacky and I doubt an FA would do it even if asked. I have never seen this nor heard anyone ask (except for in the movies). You may be able to get them to make you a cocktail and take it back to your friend, but sending one back is just not cool.
If you really want to do something special for your friend, perhaps take note of their seat and mention to the FA (after the service is over) that you'd like to buy your friend a drink and offer them your credit card. I would bet money that they will offer your friend a drink and forget to charge you, especially if you speak with one of the first class FAs.

I always start with offering them a drink chit, but as mentioned above, the FA usually just smile and take the drink gratis to my colleague/friend/family member.

Im gonna phrase this in "devil's advocate" mode. I go to LAS and get comped an all you can eat buffet. Can I use that chit, go into the buffet, eat all I want, but avoid the lobster, and then ask the server to give a guy on the street all the lobster they can eat, since I use the perks for myself of the buffet, except that part, and feel it would be nice of me to allow another person to use he perks tat I didn't use? Why stop with 1 person in Y, you could divide the free alcohol up equally to every person in Y, as there is no definable quantity limit of what that perk allows, until a single person appears intoxicated.
"All YOU can eat" (or consume) perk given to 1 person is not able to be broken up piecemeal to numerous persons. The perk is not an individual transferable perk, but rather an all inclusive perk that comes with the F class package, just like you can't gve your bonus miles to 1 person, your priority boarding to another person, your seat to a 3rd, your meal to a 4th, your IFE to a 5th, your drinks to a 6th, and your refunability (if a refundable ticket) to a 7th. They all are part of the benefit package that is given for individual use to the person named on the ticket.

Flying with a college buddy of mine, I was in the forward part of Y, he was closer to the back. I paid for a Jack and Coke for me and figured he would want one too. So I told the FA to give one to the really tall guy, mustache, and camo hat towards the back of the plane.
She laughed a bit and said no problem. A few minutes later I hear a "yea buddy" from the back. Just pony up the $7.

Many years ago, flying LGA-ORD and my boss (President of a big division of a F500 company) catches the plane at the last minute and is in the first row of Y. I politely asked (and offered to pay) to send back a bourbon to him, which the FA did for free.
Turns out he'd been to corporate and they announced his leaving the next day. He was a really good guy (and went on to run a pretty big company and did fine afterward) who got somewhat shafted so I'm glad I sent him a bourbon that day - he probably needed it.
