Get it over with as fast as possible
I have been on several carriers (QF, EK, EY, TG, SQ, ...). I tend to get it over with as quickly as possible (in Y anyway). Etihad and Emirates do the trip in < 24 hours. The airports in Abu Dhabi / Dubai are quite ok.
My $0.02 worth. Cheers.
