To be clear, I am pointing out that there are indicators of a pot-kettle dynamic here. I just don't buy that "he felt like standing" was the reason he stood in the line. It smells of rationalization. You can stand anywhere if you feel like standing. I think he was as eager to be first as the other guy was. And probably for the same reasons.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. bsdstone today at DLH. I was sitting in the boarding area by myself reading FT no less, and he comes by and says "oh flyertalk--I'm on there all the time" ^ As luck would have it we were also sitted next to each other on the CRJ200 to ORD.

First time meeting a ft'er!
But in the end.. real people using FlyerTalk..
I've truly enjoyed the FTers I've met.. in fact, I've become friends, and golf with one guy.. and met a few others golfing..
Sometimes I meet FTers at hotels.. One guy met me at the Bow Valley Grille at the Banff Springs in the lav.. Walks in and says.. hey you're on FT (as I'm 6'5" and we were Facebook friends because of a Fairmont promo).. he says to me because of your help I just booked a fantastic room rate and used a suite upgrade to the honeymoon suite.. I've also become Platinum..
I was feeling down prior to that.. but that cheered me up.. that someone from FlyerTalk would extend appreciation to me like that..
