While in general it is best to go with the hub carrier, this pax may have a very specific travel profile which might warrant going away from the local incumbent.
1) How many times a year will you visit HKG. Do you get a business class ticket, or an economy ticket, for this route?
2) Are you indifferent between JFK and EWR, or getting directly into Jersey key for you?
Please let us know.

2. EWR is much more convenient than JFK. I go back 1-2x a year.
