getting off at an intermediate stop
If you are on a flight that stops somewhere to allow passengers to board and unboard is there anything to stop you getting off at the intermediate stop if you are ticketed through to the final destination? Presumably it would not invalidate the return leg of your flight as the airline wouldn't know you got off early. How do they check that the passengers remaining on the plane are those with luggage in the hold?

How many times and ways are you going to ask the same question?

I think the best answer is
if for some reason they DO decide to check boarding passes; if there's an emergency and you have to change planes; or anything else happens that involved them changing the protocol, then your return WOULD be cancelled. Only you can decide if it's worth the risk .

I would add that equipment changes happen somewhat regularly on a direct flight with a stop at a hub. Often the equipment change is not announced until mid flight on the first leg. Also, when I have stayed on the a/c at the stop (usually sitting comfortably in F so no desire to go anywhere) the GA has come onboard to check my BP and account for me. In other words, not a very good idea at all.

As the OP has received good advice, and as this is cross-posted in the specific airline's forum, this thread is now closed. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator.
