About two weeks ago I was the only pax on board a TG 777-300ER on HKT-BKK. Was upgraded to J class :)

Almost empty A 380

Nov 13th 2014 Dubai to S'pore Dep 03:15 arr 14:40
A 380 - not a single pax in one section (Seats 67 - 79) and only 3 in the middle section (seats 52-65.) I was so surprised I took some pics. Don't know why I'm posting one, as I'm sure you all know what the inside of an A380 looks like ☺ |
BA1407 from MAN to LHR 7:25pm 24th May 2013. The plane was very empty indeed :)

CZ3122 PEK - CAN Dez 19
The flight from Pek to Can was planned to be on 738, however it was changed to 772 due to technical issues I guess (T7 was also not working for 2 hours btw).
Finally, there were like 30-40 passengers and somehow most of them were seated in the far back of the plane, while my girlfriend and I got to sit in our own section with one other guy. |
Southwest flight to Orlando via St Louis or Atlanta can't remember now. Pre-6am flight. We all got our own row.

RDU-CVG on a DL CR7 yesterday. F was me and two uniformed pilots and Y had 9 people in it for a total of 12/66.

On a DC 10
back when UA was still flying interisland, I was *alone* on the ~15 minute-ish hop one late afternoon going between HNL and OGG.
L-o-o-o-o-n-g ago. |
IST-FCO on TK. A321 (I think)
Back half of the plane was empty. Even after some had moved back from the front, I had an entire 9-seat block to myself. I was one happy cow! |
DFW-OMA on an AA MD82. - Only half the plane filled, got an extra room row toward the front to myself.
OMA-DFW on an AA MD82. Only 1/4 of the plane filled, got the seat next to me and all the surrounding rows to myself. |
On a BOS-LEB flight on 9K (Cape Air) back in 2009, I was the only passenger, and there's only one pilot on the 9 seat Cessnas that 9K uses. Could not possibly have had fewer people than that on a commercial flight.

Sometime in April 2016 I flew SG from HKG-SIN on a Wednesday night. There were less pax than rows on an A330

I took a flight from YYC-LAX last month that was probably only about 5-10% full. It was the last flight of the night so I assume that Air Canada didn't want to cancel it just so they didn't strand the handful of us at the airport. It was rather odd being in a nearly empty aircraft for the duration of the entire flight. No one else was seated within 6 or 7 rows of us.
It got me thinking, what's the emptiest flight you've ever been on? It seems like lately it's become the standard to just cancel severely underbooked flights and reshuffle the passengers to other flights, so empty flights like this are becoming a rarity. Does anyone have any unique experiences regarding flights like this? |
2 of us in First, 4 in Coach on an ANC-SEA flight in 2004. Alaska Airlines 737-900.

I had two. One from LGA-RDU on a Thursday afternoon that probably had less than 20 people on it. I had an entire row to myself. The least was a flight in awful storms from ORD to Dayton. A lot of people probably didn't get in due to storms. Less than 10 people on it and thankfully so as a woman threw up everywhere due to turbulence.

It's been a while, but I believe I was going CLT-IND. I made that flight so often and the timing is right. Seems like I was on an MD and I remember the announcement saying "all 16 of you on board". Once they closed the door, they said we could all sit wherever we wanted so we shuffled and each got a row or 5.
