What's annoying is that there's no list feature and the airline filter doesn't work whatsoever.

Upon more poking around in the Community area of Fare Compare, I noticed this flyertalk thread with postings made by FareCompare employees from 4 months ago:

Hi there -
The flyertalk tool found at http://farecompa.re/mWQY0T is a feature that we no longer support. You can start your search and get limited information regarding PPM and fare rules on that page, but the flight search functionality does not work.
We regret any inconvenience. This tool is among many that are being upgraded - we will pass your comments on to our Product team.
Thank you for taking time to reach out to us!
Safe travels,
FareCompare Customer Service

Hi there --
Thank you for your reply. The flyer talk tool is no longer supported and some features, including fare rules may not be available anymore.
We continue to have interest in the tool and updates are on the roadmap. We have shared your inquiry with our product team.
Thanks for reaching out to us again.
Safe travels,
FareCompare Customer Service
Seems to me they've been phasing it out for awhile, and just like before their answer is 'due to upgrades'

Why does this board not have a "Flyertalk Tool"? Why wait for FareCompare?

Does anyone know how to search all flights from the usa to asia or africa for lowest cpm? I can't figure out this "new" web site. I'm dying for the old one to come back online. Maybe he can make up a special link to the legacy site?

I submitted an email a few weeks back about the farecompare.com/flyertalk tool being offline. Its a fantastic resource that we all use. Never heard back from farecompare. Do any other websites do something similar? I know farecompare has the maps feature, buts its not nearly as good as their previous flyertalk feature

Good enough to pay for...

I've been a fan of the legacy farecompare/flyertalk tool for years. Please bring it back....it's good enough for us to pay for if you consider a subscription option.

I have been using to put in city to city fare codes to see runs or look for SWU pricing without having to call .bomb.
On the other hand I have used the new matrix itasoftware and their 300 mile search function has found me some good deals already for feburary.

I would gladly pay a pretty monthly penny for that sweet .cpm function.

COME BACK, PLEASE!

Because you have to subscribe to the Airline Tariff Database to build it. I sure do miss it though.

It's not that hard to work around it, especially living on either coast, just by using the 300 mile radius feature on ITA. Choose a city like FAT the plus 300mi radius basically gets you the whole of CA.
