New Flyertalk Page on FareCompare.com

As I stated a while back, we've been working on a new version of the flyertalk page. We put it up online today. Added in some new features - hopefully which will be self evident

Comments, suggestions etc welcome

Graeme

Are you going to remove this page eventually?

I really love "tax and fuel surcharge" breakdown, which new FT page does not have.

This new page does look quite nice. I would echo Tclin's request to have an option to show the fuel surcharges shown separately as well.

Fare Display

Both applications will still stay up, we have the surhcarge/tax breakout on the new FT page but are struggling with screen width to add in all the columns. This new FT app is a work in progress and all suggestions are welcome.

I wouldn't be adverse to smaller type, if it had more info. Maybe a special FT screen that had all the important info on it?

OK. Thanks.

By the way, this is not request to FareCompare, but what people should know is "base" on these page does not include US transpotation tax any more. Traditionally, fares posted here were all US transpotation tax included and called "base fare".

Maybe I'm blind......but

I can't find the "savings " column on the new layout. It is critical for us working the Continental Low Fare Guarantee.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

At the moment, I'm on the look-out for lowest (base or total) CO fares from Bay Area. With the new tool, I can't specify airline and price simultaneously - it either sorts lowest fare or SkyTeam. If I sort by price, I have to pick through a mix of NW and DL. I know, not rocket science...

BTW, the new page looks GREAT!

1) Do a search by putting in SFO, OAK, SJC in the 3 departure boxes at the top, in the destinations pick the region(s) and click find fares.

2) After the results display click on the little box with a "+" next to "Carrier" in the filters (shows all airlines alphabetically), then click "only" next to Continental, then you can sort the results as needed.

Well be adding in business and first a bit later.

Thanks to Ros and Graeme along with anyone else at FC who writes these cool tools. Any tool just takes some time to get used to and besides the price is fantastic.

Thanks, Rick. I don't know how I missed "Carrier filters", but I did.
