I updated USA Today MileTracker. Now the program is *NOT* starting at all ... I am using XP Home! Mileport, which I installed today is running!?!am going to use this until you have fixed the bug in USA Today MileTracker |
Ditto here on both counts

http://download.deskport.biz/MilePort.exe, and install it over your existing install. There's need to uninstall and you won't have to reenter your settings, though you should back them up occasionally anyway either under the File menu or by copying MileTracker.settings. It's a hassle but it works. The upgrade is nearly the size of the full install (5.7 MB vs. 8.5 MB) anyway.

MilePort worked for me

MilePort has more than just the "look and feel" of Miletracker -- it's damn near identical. I've got to believe that of course the USA Today sponsored Miletracker has deeper pockets .... any chance of litigation against MilePort in the future, and subsequent loss of funtionality...? In the mean time, I've switched -- Miletracker is gone from my computer --- NO MORE blackberry ads eating up all my CPU resources!! |
The upgrade problem that affected MileTracker but not MilePort has been fixed. Somehow one of the files in the upgrade package got corrupted while I was uploading it. If you already tried to upgrade, you'll be stuck and will have to download the full package from http://download.deskport.biz/MileTracker.exe. Sorry about that mistake and thanks for the information! It helped me track down the problem quickly.

I'll bet (or rather, hope) that everyone reporting upgrade troubles is running Windows Vista. Jimbob, I'm another XP with the MT crash. Last night I redownloaded MileTracker and everything was back to normal. Of course, Marriott was still broken until I saw your post about their ID change. Now all is well. Thanks! (And now I see your latest post with the explanation. :<) ) |
Thanks, jimbob. I check my account balance daily, which is ever so simple with this program. I really missed it over the weekend, and am glad it is back operating properly - including Marriott.

Working better, but BMI still doesn't work for me.
Does it for others? |

Upgraded, everything working.
I'm on XP Pro |
I'm trying to figure out what might be due to something in my setup, versus something that's broken in MileTracker. Here are the ones that I can't retrieve:
Best Western British Midland Citi Thank You Network go! Miles Starwood Anyone else have trouble with these? |
Citi TYN is a known problem that they are working on. SPG works OK for me.
