It is affected by browser cookies because it uses the IE engine to "browse" various websites and then reformat the results to display to you. If you didn't clear your IE cookies (only FF or Chrome) then you should clear the IE ones.

DL info on KVM qs?

If I'm reading the material correctly there is a bit of a split between KVS and Expertflyer on DL info - neither seems to have it all. My Expertflyer annual just expired so I'm shopping.

Any word update on:
- DL upgrade info?
- mobile version release date?

As I understand it the split from a DL user is:

KVS
- DL fare buckets
- DL awards
- no DL upgrade info
- web based tool now available but not sure if it supports the above
- no mobile version yet

Expertflyer
- DL fare buckets
- no DL award info
- DL upgrade info
- web based
- mobile version available

I've been getting a lot of @'s from the *A/ANA feature. This was never an issue before except with OZ occasionally. Any word on a fix?

I apologize in advance if this issue is covered somewhere in the 100+ pages of this thread. I searched the forum for "Unsupported Carrier" and was told there are no matches.

I just downloaded the tool yesterday (using Lite for now), and ran a search for an AAL flight from MIA to POP in June. The result was "Unsupported Carrier - use Sabre/GTC".

Does this mean KVS won't find AAL flight load info?

It is a transient datalink issue within StarNet, which affects all systems. You just need to re-try your query a bit later:

AA is not supported in the Lite version and requires Platinum or higher: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...l#post11971225

Further to that, there have been reports from Res agents, who are equally affected by this StarNet issue:
(e.g. AC: http://www.FlyerTalk.com/forum/13260261-post4.html and also BD).

What exactly do the PNR comments show? Comments that agents put in the record or simply basic requests like meal and wheelchair requests, etc?

KVS, when can were we expect to have the [ITA: Awards-Upgrades/X1] working again?

The Comments field in the PNR Manager is a field, where you can type-in and save your own notes/remarks for each PNR; this data is stored locally on your machine.

Im using the online tool to access the data since it's taking an extended period of time to get the registration code for my machines. It doesnt seem to show any award fare buckets for DL on the online tool...is this not available for the online/web-based version of KVS? That's the main functionality I need, and I cant seem to locate it. Thanks for anyone who can help!

The tool uses NWA.com for the Skyteam data, so you can just login there to do the search.

This functionality is only available via the KVS Tool itself and not via the Online Companion. Your 2nd Registration Code has now been rushed to you via e-mail, so you should be all set!

I just have to say, I just joined, and KVS has shown the absolute best hospitality and customer service to me as Im sure to everyone else. Thank you so much for providing this service to us. I look forward to using KVS to gather SkyTeam award data now that we're losing nwa.com! Im sure more questions will follow, but I will do my best to search this thread before reposting. Thanks again KVS!!^^^

:D :D :D

The KVS SkyTeam reward engine IS nwa.com. No word yet on which other websites the tool will use to generate results once nwa.com goes away, but relying on KVS in place of nwa.com isn't really all that useful right now.

Knowing is half the battle. Go Joe!

I hope that is not the case as that is the whole reason I joined KVS. From the FT threads, I gathered that KVS would still have access to SkyTeam award availability...if KVS is simply using public web sites, then what is the point? The PNR access function is not as helpful as I thought either as it simply points me to the same PNR on a public web site (either the airline site or virtuallythere, etc)...KVS can you please confirm whether SkyTeam award availability will be basically lost by tomorrow morning when nwa.com gets shut down?

As per http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Classes, SkyTeam award availability comes from a number of different sources, depending on the specific carrier. Some carriers will not be affected at all (e.g. AF/SU/OK), NW will no longer exist, DL/KL will be switched to a different data source, for which arrangements are currently being finalized...

Thank you so much for clarifying this...you are an INVALUABLE source to FT and your KVS customers. What happens to KQ and KL availability? Or are those still in the works? So are you saying that tomorrow we will only have limited AF access (it's limited anyway since half the time, their flights dont even show on any tool)? Will DL/KL be available starting tomorrow? Hope that KQ will have a replacement very soon!! That's the one Im really hoping to explore over the coming week. Thanks again for being a prime example of customer service, KVS!!!!!

Good question...

Skyteam -> NWA.com (will probably be switched to Delta.com or another Skyteam member airline website)
Star Alliance -> ANA.co.jp (which is why you need an ANA FF# to use it)
Oneworld -> qantas.com (which is why you need a Qantas FF# to use it)
CX Awards -> cathaypacific.com
X1 (United Airlines) Awards -> United.com (until they changed things around yesterday)

etc.

Full award availability has just been confirmed for both AF and KQ.
KL will be switched to a new source.
DL award availability will be expanded to include all 3 tiers (Low/Medium/High).

KVS,

As a fallout of nwa.com going out, I presume there's some issues with Skyteam searches. Which ones are currently impacted? I'm trying to find award avail on KE/Korean and there's not much luck there. I don't believe KE shows award avail on the Availability tab, only the award tab. Am I missing something? Or is there a replacement?

Thanks.

I just started using KVS yesterday and its great that the X1 (United) awards and upgrades are working again, however, I noticed that the aircraft type is not showing. Is that normal? It does show in the StarNet search.

Thank you for providing all of the Delta awards -- looks great!!! A couple of questions: What are FX and CX? I'm seeing them on a number of flights, but don't see them in the list above. Is there a YX?

Sure, but the search labeled "SkyTeam" was specifically a window to nwa.com and now is a window to delta.com. It was simply incomplete and SkyTeam searches required that plus other searches if there were other specific carriers that nwa.com didn't cover.

So now it searches delta.com which is fine for some inventory. And there are the other tools for the other carriers. But there is no coherent search for SkyTeam inventory and the one that is labeled "SkyTeam" was previously just searching nwa.com.

To suggest otherwise is rather misleading.

Passport/visa info comes from timatic.com. All the inventory searches are similarly available. To the best of my knowledge the only bits that aren't regularly available online to anyone are the MCT numbers, and that may just be that I haven't found them yet. ;)
