Very unlikely. However, Amadeus E-Ticket lookup is now available via the [Amadeus ETR] option in the [My Bookings] Tab.

Any specific reason why seatmaps are shrinked? Not all rows are shown. At least for SU. Previously this was the problem for DL under existing seatmap method (Amadeus).

KVS Tool does not "shrink" anything -- Seat Maps are displayed as per the data, provided by the airlines via Amadeus. Some airlines may choose to send data for only a part of the cabin, so this question would be best directed to them ... :)

Well, I don't know how it works, hence the question. One of the reasons to ask is that previously other methods were able to provide full cabin seatmap in case Amadeus did not. And now no other options exist.

This appears to be just a coincidence -- SU started feeding partial seat maps around the same time as the Apollo Seat Map engine was decommissioned. At the moment, other systems are also showing partial maps for SU (same as what Amadeus is showing).

New Seat maps are semi-useless

It may NOT be able to be solved by KVS, but basically the new seat maps suck.
I thought it was only dispalying the rows that had seats available, but that is NOT the case. It just randomly displays rows (I am sure there is some formula) that has open seats, but leaves out many rows that also has open seats (in all classes).

Once again, this is the seat map data that Aeroflot currently provides, so such a generalized statement would not be appropriate.

My comment was nothing to do with Aeroflot (SU), just many of the seat maps as part of the Amadeus text display are now only partially displaying seat maps and not showing all available seats. We all realize this is NOT a KVS issue but Amadeus NOT providing the info.

Could you provide specific (non-SU) examples?

Can KVS be used to check for JL awards...doesn't seem to show up under OneWorld awards.

No not at this time. But maybe by April 2011 you'll be able to use it under the Skyteam search function.

Not likely, as nwa.com is going away imminently. ;)

Look at some of the AA BOS-LAX and BOS-DFW (non stop) flights. Many missing rows on seat maps (F and Y). No idea if the are full or not as some rows displayed are 100% occupied.

That appears to be an Amadeus issue -- a new Seat Map option is coming soon and it will show the 'missing' rows:

In the mean time the ExpertFlyer seat maps are an option, they still work (just checked the AA 25 flight)

Hello, I thought I should ask this question before I decide to buy.

Is it possible to check rewards miles availability on other airlines within the same alliance?

For example, I have a bunch of BA miles but have found that a limited number of seats are available on AA for those booking with BA miles.

Is it possible to check BA availability on AA flights? Or on other One world partners?

They are keeping delta.com and the rewards engine associated with it. Since the KVS tool is displaying the inventory that is rendered through the nwa.com engine there is an expectation of disruption at a minimum in that search capability.

The main OneWorld reward inventory is the information available at qantas.com. There is a bit of info in the help pages that describe exactly what carriers' inventory is searchable if you need more details.

Absolutely -- please see http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Classes for details.

What you have probably found is that BA.com is not very good for finding OneWorld award availability. If you see AA award availability via KVS Tool, you will be able to book those seats by calling BA (even if they are not shown on BA.com).

Are you certain of this?

In the past I've looked up flights with award seat availability on AA.com and noticed availability, when I've called in to ask about it I was told that yes, there is availability for people with AA points, all those seats were not available for BA point members and that BA's allotment was in fact all used up for that particular flight.

Since the tool uses the award search tool on the Qantas website (you have to sign up for a Qantas FF account to use that part of KVS) you should probably just go to Qantas.com and use the award search tool there directly to make sure that BA availability on AA flights from QF's point of view is actually valid for you.

Actually, (s)he probably shouldn't, for a number of a reasons, including the fact that KVS Tool provides access to more OneWorld city pairs than Qantas.com itself.

When I save searches from Awards/StarAlliance the Max box which I have checked doesn't save.

My older searches have this box saved without difficulty, but searches that I save now don't hold the box as checked.

Has something changed?

The Max option was never saved as a part of the search, however it will retain its value throughout the session.

CX (and others) Award Search Error

When searching CX awards I get the following error:

Error Requesting Data

Gopher - Attribute Not Found (12057)
Disconnected

[9002] No Data Received
Requesting [I] [H]
I'm using 5.1.8. Most other things seem to work fine, but I have been having intermittent trouble with other Award searches (*A in particular) -- but CX has been giving me problems for the last three or for hours or so.

UPDATE: *A works fine. OneWorld/Qantas (which I hadn't tried before) doesn't work either; gives me the same error.

Anybody else having issues?

Try this
Go to your Cookies and delete all the Travelocity cookies - maybe only one or two.

I didn't think this would do anything (why would KVS be affected by browser cookies?) but I did anyway. No dice.

Are the reference tools for MPM and Minimum Connection Time down? I get SERVER I/O ERROR - TRY AGAIN LATER

Meanwhile, Star Alliance award search has been glitchy the past few days, not a KVS issue but rather an NH web issue..

This is a transient issue with the mainframe back-end -- just try again in a minute or so ...

It's not a website issue -- the StarNet data links between the *A carriers occasionally do go down and this affects all systems (incl. the terminals that reservation agents use) ...

Surprisingly, none of these things worked (I'm not running a firewall of any kind). Neither did rebooting my computer or booting in safe mode. Restoring KVS from a three-week-old full-disk backup seems to have done the trick. This strikes me as very odd, but hey, it worked. Thanks!
