But any other method shows available flights. It's really hard being technologically challenged. :( )

Well, that's because the data is provided by the AUA website, and that is the only method that can filter to "All *A airlines".

Hmm... If you can replicate the issue, could you pls post the specific city pairs/dates here, so I can take a look at what the difference is. However, if the issue is that the Amadeus method, for example, says "F7 C8 Y5" for a particular QF flight, but the other methods show, say "F9 C9 Y7", then you can assume that the Amadeus results are more accurate/up-to-date.

But why apply a *A filter when you're looking at OW airlines?

Try JNb/SYD on 26 April. I get the response:
"CRS error:
We were unable to find flights on yout specified dates for all your legs.
Avaliable dates:
Tuesday, 25 April 2006
Thursday, 27 April 2007"

It does the same whether I specify *A or All Airlines.

Those 2 are the only filters supported by that method. For OW, you would, obviously, need to select "All Airlines".

A-class on American

KVS tool (INT/CWT) does not seem to find and "A" class allocation (not even A0) for any American flight ex-NRT.

Eg. NRT-SJC, NRT-ORD, NRT-DFW.

A class availabilty is required to book 1st class RTW sequments on Oneworld airlines.

Indeed -- that's really odd . Just tried it, and A-class shows-up on all other routes, except ex-NRT, e.g.:

Obviously. So we agree that it is a little perverse to actually specify AUA/*A in the FAQ related to OW carriers? :) Sorry that I wasn't being clear about my confusion with that statement in the FAQ.

Aha! ^ Thanks.. I was assuming 00:00 would detect anything during the day. (And didn't even notice the other choice above it.) Undone by my own limiting assumption! :p

Well, a little bit; but then again, one should forget about common sense logic when entering the airline world :) ... Having said that, the statement remains correct.

"A" Booking Class on AA's NRT & PVG Routes

For some unknown reason, AA hides A class on their NRT/PVG routes: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=513470

inlanikai Jan 13, 2006 7:10 am

As someone pointed out in another forum, A Class NRT/PVG AA flight inventory is viewable on ExpertFlyer .

Thanks.

ExpertFlyer has announced today the viewability of AC's D and W classes. These are hidden classes and must be entered into the Class box. I class is also available as an unhidden class along with the other inventory.

Question re booking classes

If I read the booking classes for AA correctly, the class for upgrading with miles is "C". Yet, when I look in any of the KVS bookings, I do not see "C" listed anywhere. First, am I right that this is a C class and, if so, why can't I see them in KVS. I used to see them in the "old tool" Galileo-CRS(?). Thanks.

Yes, you're right -- it is the C class. However, AA made it a hidden class, and, therefore, it is not supported by the KVS Tool. For a listing of supported AA booking classes, please see the chart at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...49#post4148749

That button was moved to the toolbar, located in the upper right-hand corner.

Does anyone know how I can view HP generated PNR's on this tool? I've tried all four options given, but to no avail.

Thanks!

Any way to access SHARES or EASYR?

KVS,

As always thank you for the great program.

I was wondering if it would be possible to access CO's SHARES or EASYR (or I guess WORLD if they ever get it up) system via the tool. I like the fact that Amadeus shows CO's R bucket, but the utility of the program would be greatly increased if it could show E, F, M, G (the reward classes).

Thanks!

rbessler Jan 17, 2006 12:30 pm

The website appears to be down right now... anyone having any luck accessing it?

Well, the Tool does provide access to data from all 5 major GDS systems. There are tens of proprietary systems like "SHARES", and they are all for those airlines' internal use only... The real issue is that CO had decided not show their award booking classes, and there is really not much I can do to change their mind ;).

Travelocity pulls up fares loaded in Sabre. Arkia and El Al both show up there. Just use flexible dates for the route of your choosing and then select the carrier of your choice, and it should work like it just did for me. Unfortunately, selecting LY or Arkia Israel is not an option in the pull down menu there to just get LY's fares and strike out the rest. But it still works for me to find the various lowest LY fares loaded into Sabre.

LY is supported by the KVS Tool, all you have to do is select "Sabre: Fares", and enter "LY" in the airline field; I don't know which route(s) does IZ fly, so I can't check...

Normally, you don't need a new key when upgrading to a newer version. However, there are a few users who had installed the withdrawn V1.4.9 during the short time it was available for download, and they will require a new key.

Could someone with the KVS tool check the booking situation on LX 169 - NRT-ZRH on Jan 27, 2006 in all classes?

I was told by an LX agent that Y is heavily overbooked but on the LX web page it still showes Y9, C9, F4

I checked with Amadeus: AUA as recommended:

This also matches up with results from EF...not sure what the agent was on but i'll have what they were having.
