Though, it is much easier to donate considering you can donate any amount you like.

Not exactly. The minimum allowed to donate is $5.

I think we get so caught up with "deals" and getting something for nothing (me included!) that threads like this become inevitable.

This is a fabulous product. People put a lot of time into it and continue to work on it, and I could not ask for more. Is it really that unhelpful to you that you feel it is only worthwhile if it is free? I donate more than the minimum because I see a hard working fellow miles-addicts on the other side of the internet connection and I feel he deserves my tangible thanks.

Really now, $5????? If it's not worth that to you, I suggest looking elsewhere like www.gomiles.com. But I have not seen a product as easy and elegant. Rant over!

Calm down there cowboy. I was only noting that the previous poster was incorrect in saying that you were able to donate any amount. That is all. I didn't say anything regarding my thoughts about it, much less that it was too high.

Actually, I was not referring to any one comment but rather the fact that there is post after post about how to get away without paying anything. No insult intended.

And I'm the definitely a cowboy - heck, I don't even cut my own lawn!

This is a fabulous product. Agreed and $5 is not a big deal. However if you are tracking miles for five people in a family, that turns out to be $25 and for a year double that to $50. I am not sure $50/year is justified for me although I bet many people will have a different take on it.

Gomiles.com has a long way to catch up but they have a very decent product and are doing a good job. As long as its free and they keep on adding more options I will definitely look to them.

er.. no... i track all four family members under one account... each account allows multiple people... i have 3.1m miles under management :)

Yep, 5 in one account for me and gladly pay the fee!

We are experts in getting around the "intent" of a bargain (i.e. we existing users getting the product for free vs. award wallet wanting to expand its customer base).

As was mentioned, this is someone helping us out, tremendously, at a reasonable price.

I happily pay the $5 every 6 months. I currently am tracking 46 programs for 6 people.

There would be no way for me to do this by hand, it would be way too time intensive. And AwardWallet is still better than any other site out there and I've tried them all.

stevens397 Oct 12, 2011 3:15 pm

Nice to hear I'm not alone! And I felt strongly that AwardWallet needed to hear a thank you from some of us!

Thank you very much! We really are trying hard to keep making the site better and better.

I have 7 people and 32 accounts. Without AW I would be lost.

Another advantage is that with AW you have all your account numbers and passwords in one place. Yes, there is a little risk with that but it sure is nice.

Very ofern I pull up AW just to get an account number to copy and past into another screen.

Having the expiration date and being able to sort by it makes sure none of our miles expire.

It is well worth donating.

I love AW and happily pay $5 every six months. I track eight family members with a total of 83 accounts with a toal of 3.6M miles/points. AW is very receptive to user input. I really like "Travel Plans" which allows me to access all my travel details anywhere I can get internet access.

all gone

As another "thanks" I use award wallet to track for just me and my wife, but that's 52 programs. There is no practical way that I could keep up without it.
