I love you, but YUCK! Sorry!!!

Hate to say this, because I believe you guys put a lot of work into this,

but the new design, is not good. Sorry!

Actually liked to old color scheme better, but that is a matter of taste.

The current Font and Graphic size are WAY too big. Not enough info is being presented per inch of screen, it was fine the way it was.

And as much as I am amazed to hear myself say this, the rows are too tall causing too much white space between rows of data.
We all need white space, but this is now too much, I think you had it right before

The entire column on the lefthand side of the page under the AwardWallet.com logo, and under the "Welcome Back, USERNAME is too wide.
It takes up too much of the available screen real estate.

Please Please adjust the font size and row height if nothing else.

Everyone should go vote in the forums
http://awardwallet.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16
to vote on if they like the new design or not...

I love all the work you guys do, but this one is a miss....

I love the tool, but the new design is absolutely horrible as far as the user experience is concerned . I wonder why they even changed it?

The old design was clean, functional, and just worked . I honestly can't name a single thing that I like about the new design - it fails on every possible level.

+1.

Would appreciate if Award Wallet would put some sort of button on the screen with an option to switch to a more compact view.

I agree, font size is WAY too big. I could deal with the change if this was fixed/changed. In IE I turn the zoom to 75%, but then have to restore it to 100% when I leave the site.

Maybe you could have an option of the two skins, with a preference setting?

And not when I have just recently had some activity to extend the dates - in some cases the dates were extended months ago and the short-term expiration notice still shows up.

Mea culpa. :o I was the problem, not award wallet. I had not updated some passwords and therefore was getting out-of-date results. All updated now and award wallet is 100% correct.

:td: on the new design.

Yodlee is doing the same design with its beta. Its not good either.

Would someone from AW please tell us the in-depth details as to why AW feels it is necessary to use this type of design?

AW is taking a huge step backwards. WHY?

That's what I'm wondering myself.

Tellingly, the SiteAdmin on Awardwallet's forum said, in response to criticism, that "[e]veryone has a different perception of what looks good, that is why our main focus is on functionality and not the design."

If their focus is on functionality, not design, why mess with a clean, attractive, adequate interface? Why not make the layout changeable? Really feels like they are hurting themselves with their choices.

Yeah, the more I use it, the more I agree. I thought I'd start to like it, but that's just not happening. In fact, it's starting to grate on me.

So much wasted white space! I'd rather have a very, very compact design where I could even see 40 accounts on one screen. Scrolling is a pain.

Yikes, this is an absolutely awful design. I'm sure a lot of effort went into designing it, but it has to go

Brian_D Jan 17, 2011 3:43 pm

I have to agree on the site design complaints. The colors aren't a big deal to me but the font size, row height/width, graphics, etc. are just all way too big for my taste. Generally just seems a pretty poor use of real estate. I've actually looked down at my browser zoom level a few times expecting to see I accidentally set it to 150% but nope - just 100%.

One the plus side I like how I can go to one person and still have the three views of All, Recently Changed, or Active for that particular person. Maybe this was there before and I'm just now noticing it.

tassojunior Jan 17, 2011 5:46 pm

yep, horrible

and old design was so nice.

bjcleaver Jan 17, 2011 6:36 pm

I'd give it a 6.

I wouldn't be so sure? I loved the old design but agree that there's too much wasted real estate and scrolling required now... Maybe it's trying a bit too hard to be 2.0?

I'm having to do the same thing. Please change it back.
