Usually I find that if you click on the link to the particular program that is giving you issues and do a manual log-in it will fix the auto-login feature.

When using Awardwallet, you can either store the info on their server or on your PC.

In the past I have been saving it on my PC for security reasons as I view access to my miles the same as access to my bank account. Meaning that if somebody broke into their server, I could lose all of my miles. However I have repeatedly needed to re-input the info on my PC because I periodically erase the cookies which is a real pain in the butt.

Where do most people save their awardwallet info?

PC or Server?

I have a IT background, and I do the same as you due to security concerns with my passwords stored on AwardsWallet servers.

I also clear my cookies every now and then, so it's a bit of a hassle to have to re-input my passwords.

But otherwise, AwardWallet has been pretty good.

I thought about doing PC side, but then I thought I save all my passwords for bank, brokerage and all financial accounts with mint.com. So I stored them server side

I do PC side (Mac, really) but therefore my iPhone app is pretty useless. I've thought about making all new passwords and just relenting.

I also use Mint.com for a few accounts, so I see the logic, except that Mint is a much more established company with a much wider base, so if there were a security problem, there would be lots of help from the bank side. No offense to AwardWallet, but it's just a much smaller company, so I'm a little more reluctant.

Any thoughts about whether to pay for Award Wallet? They offer some info about accounts only to paying customers. What do FTers think about the value?

Easily worth the money to me. I pay $5 every six months.

I wouldn't bother paying if there is someone else out there offering it for free.

I chip in every 6 months because I think they deliver excellent value and are constantly working to improve their product.

Wrong attitude. Award Wallet is an excellent product. It deserves to make a profit and stay in business. To make a profit it has to make MONEY! If it doesn't make money it will cease to exist.

In the long run, free never lasts and you get what you pay for.

I'm an active PAYING customer of Award Wallet and will gladly continue to do so.

+1 (more)

Well worth the $1-$2 a month I contribute to track 100+ accounts for myself and my family.

You get what you pay for .... Award Wallet is the best such miles/points tracker that I have ever used.

I'm willing to pay when there is a marked difference and a differentiation out there. Right now I do not see that for my needs with Award Wallet.

There are other ways for these companies to make money and stay in business without charging their members. I generally prefer those approaches as a customer.

You have a higher tolerance for crap than I do.
